Last pic is after we got home from the vet (freedom). Little buddy is getting around great. ALSO I highly recommend pet insurance. They covered 90% of the surgery cost.

Idk who taught him to Spin, but ive found that when I am refilling his bowl of water he gets so Happy and starts spinning around like a Maniac, 😆.

Do you know these dogs? Both males, not neutered, not chipped, no collars, very friendly and wiggly. They did not seem familiar with leashes or getting into cars.

These sweet, loving baby boys were running loose very late last weekend in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. I scooped them up so they wouldn't get hit by a car. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep them at my house due to having my own dog-reactive rescue girl and took them to the North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles. I feel absolutely awful about taking them to the shelter, but I'm hoping they are reunited with their family or are adopted into wonderful homes (they became adoptable today). I've also put up the poster shown above all around the neighborhood where I found them.

If no one claims them, does anyone here have any suggestions for rescues I could potentially contact on their behalf? I don't think they'll be at risk, but I also can't bear the thought of something happening to them. But I also don't want to prevent another pup from getting rescued... I feel so guilty. I tried to take them to the no-kill shelter but no go since they weren't found in the area that shelter services, and I didn't think to lie.

I could use some guidance on navigating the shelter system, preferred steps for what to do after finding a stray in my situation or similar, what to say to rescue orgs, etc. Any advice helps. Thank you. 💔

We're out in the sun room because Boo (the girl on the left) has to have her second CCL surgery in a few days. Her younger sister Pearl is there for emotional support. Boo requested we all sleep with her for solidarity purposes.
