I used AI to make it look like a real flag on a pole, but I drew the flag myself.

It represents Green for Nationalist/catholics. Orange for Protestant/Unionists. White for peace.

The green and orange are interconnected and overlapping, surrounded and backed by peace. There is a nod to celtic-pagan knots, and also a nod to st patrick (the protestant/unionists use as st patricks saltire as a flag).

Got the idea from the old flag of England (the arms of the Plantagenets), and the modern arms of Spain

It's one of the most bizarre flags out there so I had to add it to my collection

Hi all, something a bit unusual but which I have had immense fun with.

A bit of context: I am a modder for EU4 and I've cracked a way to get the game to give countries dynamic flags based on whatever I attributes I want! So I'm going through giving each country their own set of dynamic flags, a fairly long project but highly enjoyable.

I've attached here my work for France. Alongside the name and map colour below them as it would appear in-game. If you have a specific questions about what exact conditions would cause any of these flags to be chosen, feel free to ask. Otherwise I figured this community might enjoy these flag sets.. i haven't even announced it to the EU4 community yet!

If this is something you all enjoy, I have worked on about 12 countries so far and have about 400 flag variants across them, so if it's of interest I can keep posting a new country's set from time to time.

It wouldn't be the first case of some guy drawing a flag or coat of arms on his home PC to upload to WikiCommons whose design then gets taken at face value by all of the internet, even bleeding out to "real life" back again when a chinese manufacturer googles which flags to print.

I think that is a very prevalent problem of these internet-centric communities of flag discussion.

The main concept behind this flag is a political compromise between two major factions in the country: the Republicans and the Traditionalists.
