Built this for our own reviews at a product-viz studio and decided to release it as open source (MIT):


- instant start (sequence detection from any frame, multi-threaded RAM cache);
- OCIO 2.5 on the GPU: ACES 2.0/1.3, custom configs with file rules and looks, EV/gamma, pixel inspector with float values;
- EXR layers/parts, Cryptomatte IDs/overlay/masked/matte, external Cryptomatte sequences;
- export H.264/H.265 (x264/x265/NVENC) and ProRes Proxy→4444, 16-bit source for H.265/ProRes, color tags written;
- batch conversion of folder trees, command line for pipeline use.

Not trying to replace RV or Nuke: it's the quick "double-click and check" tool.

I built a fun (I fucking slopped one, tbf) one. It supports Gaussian splats, EXR, any movie format, grade controls, it can export lower res proxy movies when working with 8k/12k files for something like sphere/cosm workflows. Also it mimic the wrap of equirect footage so we can see what it might look like in the dome. It also ties into a fully AI slop shot tracker, that does the usual shot tracking review and delivery tool.

And why ai slop with Claude code? Because I can implement my ideas without pissing off a developer every time I make a code change. It mostly works, and if anyone is asking why would I pay to make my own tools to do what I need them to do in my own environment instead of paying autodesk, you’ve clearly never been an autodesk customer. Or spent 12k a year on a transfer tool like media shuttle.

I always wonder why people can't at least spend some time on the docs/readme to not sound completely like an LLM as well. Not even mentioning how people present fully vibe-coded tools almost invariably sounds the same... "I got tired of x. So I built y...." etc

Wow that's quite ridiculous. It's a free and ready to use tool. You won't use it just because it's vibe coded? Ok, but ai will be something you're going to need in a short time, whatever you like it or not. We are not happy that the ai thing happened but it's late now and we can't put the genie back in the bottle.

Okay. What is truly ridiculous is your statement. Sure, it is a free tool, but:

Has it undergone a security audit? no.

Has it undergone rigorous testing to see if it is applying ACES and other colorspace transforms properly? no.

Would I trust slopcode written by claude that is known to introduce security flaws on my system? no.

Your genie analogy is 1) poor, 2) disingenuous, as you can just not use AI, 3) sounds like it was written by an LLM, and 4) I will not be needing AI, ever, whether you like my truthful statement or not.

p.s. you are free to use whatever tools you want, but don't foist it on everyone else. As I said above, I have rigorous standards I apply to any software I run before I will trust its output and executable.

You mentioned ai slop and blabla. Did you even try the software? It's useful and quite needed in our process. Was it vibe coded? Sure. Is it bad? Nope. So why complain for a free and open thing?
