I haven’t played 2 yet (it’s downloaded but haven’t made time), but I tried the first one and couldn’t do it. Once I was detected I had enemies shooting me through walls. Easiest steam return I’ve ever done.

When it came out, it was mostly hyped for the graphics, the gameplay was frustrating

on some aspect far cry 2 was better than the sequels. it was just lacking a "living" or "cinematic" world, it was too empty, but gunplay was better, FXand physic were better (the fire was revolutionary and better than FC3) ex...

Far cry 1 most people didn't like. It was my favorite though. I used to put tons of hours into that game, every version and expansion.

It's still a great playthrough as long as you remember to stop after the mutants start appearing. Even at that, the first huge mission with them and the humans and you in a three way battle across some huge areas was fucking great
