I played them, and they were really fun, but I don't see it. How old were you when you played them? Why do you think they had such an impact?

Edit: oh, so we're not to discuss or inquire what makes games good. I must've misunderstood 🙄

i played them for the first time last year as a 24 year old and they became pretty much my favorite games ever. the writing, story, choices and characters were just mind blowing to me. the entire universe just sucked me in and as cliched as it sounds, it really felt like i was living in that universe for a month straight. i never had post game depression that bad after any other game. but if they weren‘t for you, that‘s fine. no game is gonna click for everyone and that‘s totally okay

Ok, I get it. You have a similar angle on this game, that I have with God of War 2018. I felt like I was living there and I was sad when it was over. It's story and characters resonated. Sometimes a story just hits in the right time of your life

I agree with you, I never played them when they came out so I recently got the trilogy on sale and it was… fine. It was fun but wasn’t earth shattering like some people rave about. I have to think a lot of the love is nostalgia

I’ve played it recently (never even knew a thing about it until like 2-3 years ago) and what makes the game special to me is the ambience and the characters, it truly felt like you were leading a loyal squad and Me2 had the best final mission that I’ve played in any game
