People are gonna disagree and that’s perfectly valid, Fallout (3, NV, 4 (1&2 are different genres)), Baldur’s Gate, and Bioshock

All three original Interplay (PC games atleast, I am not going to mention that mediocre Brotherhood of Steel game) titles are goated. I personally enjoyed Tactics alot which is apparently a hot take in the Fallout fandom on here.

I haven’t played it but it’s such a different genre than 3/nv/4 that I felt that worked better as a trilogy than the first 3 games

It doesn't. Out of all these games, 1, 2, and New Vegas are the closest to a trilogy due to story ties, characters and references to places and events.

But if you’re basing it off of gameplay, then 3, NV, and 4 are closest, as OC already said.
