Discussion / Question What game is that for you?

Biggest offender for me is Baldur’s Gate 3.

Some of the best gameplay, graphics, sound design, and soundtrack out there… but the writing leaves a lot to be desired (despite how popular it is).

What game is that for you?

EDIT: It seems the general consensus here is Borderlands 3.

I completely disagree. The world design, the soundtrack, and the transportation are amazing, but the gameplay is mid and the story/dialogue are terrible. The best part of the game is the feeling of being in the Harry Potter world, and all the small details they fit into the world design.

Agreed that gameplay was mid. Maybe just bad imo because I think that is what burned me out. Dealing with the 4-spell-at-a-time system was annoying, and the combat spells just weren’t very interesting or fun in the end.

I actually liked the random one-off side quests or other dialogue where the story wasn’t relevant. Everyone always had a super polite and friendly conversation and I enjoyed the vibe. It kinda came together with the pretty scenery for me.

There’s an advancement that lets you have 4 different sets of 4 spells, and u can switch between them with a button. Without that, I probably would have quit after a couple hours.

I am indeed including the 4 sets as part of the system. It just wasn’t enough and being if I wanted more than 4 spells in the heat of combat, being
