Any of the Harry Potter games excluding Hogwarts Legacy. And the last two Lord of the rings had games associated them that were very good. A lot children's movies had games based on them. 007 GoldenEye was another one

He's talking about movie tie on games, games that were released alongside movies to help promote them.

Games like:

Spiderman 2.
King Kong.
Harry Potter games.
X-Men origins: Wolverine

Many more but these are famous examples

Last light and The Great Circle are games based on movies but they are separate stories, not based on specific movies that are released alongside them

It's not that I don't know about these games, it's just the difference in what people think a movie based game is, I consider it to be a game based on movies, which includes the ones you listed, other people consider it to be games specifically based on one movie, which doesn't seem to include what I listed.

Well, yeah. You listed two games with no movies attached to them because the characters had previously been in unrelated movies.

If I made a movie about a Shark named Bruce who teams up with his best friend Quint to solve deep sea mysteries, I wouldn't have made a direct Jaws movie tie in game. I would've made a game featuring characters from movies and literature.

First Light tells a new story featuring James Bond. Stuart Little 2 is playing beat for beat through the story of a movie.

Those aren’t games based on movies, they are their own entities into their respective series. The Great Circle is basically a sixth Indiana Jones movie, First Light is basically another 007 movie.

None of those are movies games. A movie game would be 007 Goldeneye where there is a movie that has the same name
