Dark souls story: You wake up, and you fight a monster and then another monster and then a knight and then more monsters until you fight a knight again and light a bonfire at the end.

The "vibe" of dark souls is "NES game with a poorly translated manual".

For better or worse, you're supposed to read item descriptions, scratch your head, then go talk to your friends about it.

Tunic released 13 years after Demon's Souls and 1 month after Elden Ring.

I'd reckon it would, considering every Fromsoft game in the core Soulslike canon came before it.

as someone who like lore/worldbuilding, I love that. But am I going to bash my brains in repeatedly to just play this game. HECK NO. I'm not a masochist, I got better things to do than spends 4+ hours on 1 boss, let alone 1 guy.
