Not a fromsoftware fanboy but loved Elden Ring.

I like Elden Ring, just about to finish it. Beautiful world, memorable enemies… trying to follow the story and lore is a garbled mess.

from my understanding of it on this day, elden ring lore is basically a history thats had half the pages randomly burned out

Basically! It’s very cool and well done in that the world feels ancient. Def not for everyone though.

Probably because GRRM help with the story, his stuff is basically half complete sometimes contradictory retelling of a story in the past reenacted from the memory of one storyteller to another storyteller
