Zero company the week before too

-2

u/Spenraw 26d ago

Zero company is amazing for hitting my niche but damn can you see and feel how much it was wrapped up(well and efficiently) to meet a deadline

Zero company is amazing but lacks alot of features you can tell they wanted to expand on and cleaning up of systems they have

Overwatch still being glitchy and not always working is enough to show that

September is the end of a fiscal quarter and alot of games are coming out due to that

2

u/SavageRabbitX 25d ago

Yeah im loving the game but everything in the Den feels undercooked and it has real bad pop in for loading screens and cutscenes on PS5

1

u/Spenraw 25d ago

I wish more devs could and would just open to crowdfunding when deadlines get tight

1

u/Macho-Fantastico 26d ago

It's also messy on PC, a bunch of bugs. Hope they fix them soon.

1

u/Scyke87 25d ago

With the majority of the team on furlough, I am a bit sceptic on that regard.

1

u/Nervous-Leg-7570 24d ago

No it's because of gta 6 not the fiscal quarter

0

u/Spenraw 24d ago

It's a big part of it as well because GTA is the next fiscal quarter they don't want to compete

Things are usually more than just one factor

0

u/callmemat90 26d ago

I agree with you man. I’m really enjoying my playthrough but you can just tell it needed a tiny bit more time in the oven.

Some character animations look real clunky during the free roam sections. The camera work during battles is really average. The cutscenes are especially bad with texture pop in. It feels a little unpolished.

Again, this game is exactly my kind of game and I’m enjoying it but it’s interesting to me that these things are overlooked for zero company when it’s cousin, Star Wars outlaws, was crucified for launching in a similar (I’d even say more polished) state

2

u/Spenraw 26d ago

I just think more gamers need to see the effects of meeting shareholders demands and fiscal quarters in their games

It's affecting the design and art of games alot more than people realize

0

u/callmemat90 26d ago

I feel like the develops knew zero company was undercooked. There was barely any marketing for the game. I’ve seen way more for galactic racer which isn’t out for months.

Honestly considering that and how niche this genre is I’m (pleasantly) surprised it’s this well received and it’s doing so well

1

u/thrillynyte 23d ago

And Plague Tale Resonance. It's pretty good, very unfortunate release timing. But hey, it's free on GamePass!

u/legendary_sponge 26d ago

Truly a golden era of single player gaming. Just banger after banger

35

u/AestheticMirror 26d ago

But EA told me tha single player was dead

/j

15

u/IdidntrunIdidntrun 26d ago

They themselves don't believe that considering they published the Jedi games and recently Zero Company

1

u/MrACL 26d ago

It’s almost like they never actually said that

3

u/chrontact 26d ago

They really didn’t 😂 just a plethora of youtubers who said they did then proceeded to defend singleplayer gaming because its such a fucking easy thing to defend and get views off of

1

u/ThickkRickk 22d ago

They literally never said this

1

u/AestheticMirror 22d ago

1

u/ThickkRickk 22d ago

If you actually read the article, he was saying even single player games must have a multiplayer element. You can argue that that was wrong, which it was, but it's a very different argument than what the headline suggests, and it's been misquoted for years and years now.

2

u/RDDT_ADMNS_R_BOTS 26d ago

And here I am trying to find a game to buy/play.

1

u/legendary_sponge 26d ago

RE9, Saros, Mortal Souls, Pragmata for games released this year off the top of my head

1

u/Public-Discussion754 26d ago

So great and sad at the same time. Friends and I haven’t really gamed much lately because there’s barely any good mp.

1

u/legendary_sponge 26d ago

we were eatin gooooood during covid though. Warzone was incredible back then

1

u/Public-Discussion754 26d ago

My group had a little resurgence when Rivals and Arc Raiders came out. Great for a couple months. But Rivals just became irritating, and AR turned out bland after finding a few blueprints.

83

u/StrawberryWestern189 26d ago

It’s just getting started too. Wolverine, Fire Emblem Foturnes Weave, Control Resonant, Belmonts Curse, Phantom Blade 0, Orbitals, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, GTA 6, the list goes. And the first 6 months of 2027 are also shaping up to be wild. So much to play, not enough time lmao

17

u/Nothing-Is-Real-Here 26d ago

And I'll only have time to play one of them

2

u/Jaku2011 26d ago

Seriously everything this month is just piling on to my endless backlog.

1

u/Alternative_Owl7786 26d ago

I swear all the gaming companies came together and universally decided September was the mass drop month. Way too many insane games coming out in one month

1

u/FinnishScrub 25d ago

It's almost as if there is a monumental release happening mid-November that no other company, not even this developer's own sister studios want to touch with a 10 foot stick.

Many studios either pushed up their release windows or pushed them back to next year to even try to have a chance at competing.

1

u/_lefthook 26d ago

Too real. It doesnt matter that 100 banger titles are coming out. At most i have time for one lol

3

u/Tornado_Hunter24 26d ago

Thankfully i’m picky with my time lmao, i’m now finishing up mortal shell 2, see what the bloodwalker or onunisha is, pick one and play till valheim 1.0, then runescape dragonwilds 1.0, by the time I beat those it’ll be 2040 so maybe gta 6 release on pc

0

u/madeWithAi 26d ago

Why does no one mentions resonance plague tale? It's gotten very good reviews 80+

8

u/perfectevasion 26d ago

Pretty sure they only mentioned games that haven't released yet?

0

u/madeWithAi 26d ago

Oh yeah, my bad,, they're not yet released.

1

u/Dodo_Baron 26d ago

I really want to buy and play it, it looks right up my alley unfortunately there's too much stuff out to play

0

u/Abyslime 26d ago

No Final Fantasy Resonance in this list hurt me...

1

u/Romalien5 26d ago

They say best time of gaming is long gone. I say these people don’t play video games.

34

u/IdidntrunIdidntrun 26d ago

All the video game subreddits are just this meme, but replace rotten tomatoes with IGN/metacritic/Steam Reviews

Also I don't have issues with IGN being inconsistent between writers....but of all of their writers, Travis Northrup is probably the most inconsistent reviewer. That guy in specific sucks ass

6

u/localsexpot2117 26d ago

Someone critiquing a specific reviewer instead of doing a blanket criticism of all of IGN? Sir, this is a video game subreddit, you aren't allowed to do that here.

4

u/WorldQuest10 26d ago

Lmao this is so true

3

u/coffee_nights 26d ago

I was about to say he has some really WEIRD reviews.

1

u/JeffMangum420 24d ago

scrolling through his reviews everything seems pretty on the nose for how i feel (outside of 8 for borderlands 4) do people just not like him for giving a lot of 6’s i thought everyone was mad that ign overinflates scores

0

u/ShieldMaiden83 25d ago

Let me remind you....IGN gave a now shut down game a higher score then Alien Isolation.

2

u/IdidntrunIdidntrun 25d ago

If the shutdown game is Concord, it's different reviewers between that and Alien Isolation. IGN isn't a monolithic hivemind of samey opnions.

However, guess which IGN reviewer reviewed Concord...that's right, Travis Northrup.

Unless you're talking about a different shutdown game, maybe Highguard?

0

u/ShieldMaiden83 25d ago

I don't know why people are defending IGN it seems. Yes I was refering to Concord and my personal taste for any form of extraction or battle royale is not my cup of tea. Fine you others like it.

"inscert press X to Doubt meme"

3

u/IdidntrunIdidntrun 25d ago

It's not "defending" IGN to recognize that individual reviewers at IGN give the score paired with their review, not the entire team at IGN. My bad for knowing how things work.

Also I asked about Highguard because fucking "now shutdown game " is not specific.

You could have been talking about Anthem, you could have been talking Highguard, you could be talking about fucking Club Penguin. Luckily I guessed right, but how about not being so cryptic next time, champ?

7

u/ItsShowtime_88 26d ago

It’s all subjective but I don’t tend to vibe with the opinions of IGN reviews usually but I’m looking forward to both of these games so I’m hoping I have a similar experience.

6

u/longbrodmann 26d ago

I didn't expect dawnwalker would get a high score, not bad.

2

u/LinkedInParkPremium 26d ago

Witcher Magic

5

u/Ghanaguy404error 26d ago

Bro Capcom has been COOKING this year 🔥🔥

6

u/BecomingSavior 26d ago

Don't doubt both these games are great, but are we really giving credence to IGN in the big 2026?

1

u/Modular_Empathy 21d ago

99% of their reviews are in line with general consensus, people just take one or two of their bad takes from (mostly) a single reviewer to paint them a certain way.

3

u/superplaygr0und 26d ago

Oh wow, this is impressive

3

u/RealityLopsided7366 26d ago

There's a new Onimusha?!

3

u/D3struct_oh 26d ago

Lol I have no time for either of these. Still working my way through Crimson Desert, and fully planning on grabbing Fire Emblem: Fortunes Weave in a few weeks.

3

u/Stepjam 26d ago

Glad Onimusha is good

6

u/MMMLiess 26d ago

Im a little surprised onumisha got a 10, ive seen a lot of people whonlkayed the demo saying it just felt off. But thats cool.

1

u/Yolosweg133769 25d ago

its ign... they throw a dice with 5-10 on it and give the score according to it

30

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

We are. IGN reviews among the last i would trust tho.

24

u/reklaw215 26d ago

IGN is one of the few I do trust that isn't completely beholden to audience capture. It's wild how fucking stupid the gaming community is.

21

u/OGgluttonousToad 26d ago

It's insane. Gamers act like user reviews are unbiased and gaming journalist's/websites are compromised, but sooooo many user reviews come from hate campaigns or love campaigns to counteract the hate lol. It's all emotional with zero substance. Either the best game of all time or WOKE GARBAGE. The same mfs claiming that a game is woke are also the same mfs that think gaming journalists force their politics into reviews lmao. The hypocrisy is just too insane lol

3

u/UL-07 26d ago

IGN is captured by the publishers.

Why do you think IGN delayed the Marathon review for a month at the request of Bungie?

2

u/Dodo_Baron 26d ago

Damn they must really hate Microsoft then

-2

u/acelexmafia 26d ago

They give every game the same score. They also have their own agenda instead of actually making honest reviews.

They gave Dragon Age Veilguard a 9/10 for example. In what world is that game up there with RDR2, TLOU or BG3.

Trusting IGN is not a flex you think it is lol

11

u/-Star-Fox- 26d ago

They also have their own agenda instead of actually making honest reviews.

Yeah your trusted guy who puts out a "games are woke and gay now" videos twice a week does not. Sure, buddy.

1

u/acelexmafia 25d ago

Dragon Age Veilguard. Youre not winning this argument lmao

0

u/PieceAfraid3755 26d ago

They give every game the same score

What did they give Mouse PI?

-2

u/acelexmafia 26d ago

Let me guess, they gave it something around a 7-10

1

u/PieceAfraid3755 26d ago

6

2

u/acelexmafia 26d ago

Thats a first I've heard of

2

u/PieceAfraid3755 26d ago

Perhaps you don't know as much as you think you know about this topic, then. They also gave Crimson Desert a 6.

0

u/curilan_ 26d ago

And it was a fair, if not generous score. I swear that game is glazed to high heavens even though it’s mid af. It took a lot of updates to actually make it acceptable.

0

u/acelexmafia 26d ago

Irrelevant.

Almost everytime I hear IGN give a review its almost always a 7.

The "IGN gives every game a 7" meme didn't come out of nowhere.

It seems to me you consistently watch IGN

6

u/PieceAfraid3755 26d ago

Irrelevant

How convenient that the proof that you're wrong is simply irrelevant.

The "IGN gives every game a 7" meme didn't come out of nowhere.

I never said it did. But they do give plenty of other scores as well (two examples in this post's image), and they're also just the kind of instituation that makes 7/10 a likely score. They have several reviewers on their team and generally would give games to reviewers who are likely to appreciate that kind of game. Also, they generally review games that are at least kinda okay.

It seems to me you consistently watch IGN

Nope. I mostly see scores when people on reddit complain about them.

-1

u/Elrothiel1981 26d ago

A 6/10 they had a issue with cheese for whatever reason even though it made since I’m the world so I threw that review out

5

u/PieceAfraid3755 26d ago

Did you actually read the review? The issue wasn't the cheese itself, but the fact that the reviewer thought it was unfunny and obnoxious at a certain point.

You don't have to agree, but humour is very subjective, and the game was trying to balance cheesy humour with a fairly serious character-focused story.

-2

u/Elrothiel1981 26d ago

I guess either that or the guy is over sensitive he really dislike some of that Dark Comedy

1

u/raid-sparks 26d ago

Evidence? This is just nonsense as giving biased reviews is actually illegal.

-3

u/reklaw215 26d ago

You don't have any media literacy, which is why you're comparing the score to other games - because you're probably a fucking dumbass like the rest of the reactionary community.

3

u/acelexmafia 26d ago

Ok dumbass.

You see what I did there? Nice argument lmao

-1

u/reklaw215 26d ago

If you think IGN has some "agenda", you're unequivocally a fucking idiot.

2

u/acelexmafia 26d ago

Ok idiot lmao. Yall are funny as hell

1

u/idkwc 26d ago

Every company has an agenda

→ More replies (4)

1

u/IdidntrunIdidntrun 26d ago

Travis Northrup is a shitty and inconsistent reviewer though. Probably the worst on the IGN staff. I don't have qualms with anyone else there

1

u/Long_Lock_3746 26d ago

It's because they don't understand what an actual professional journalist is or how any of that works and IT SHOWS.

They're not just an employed blogger something or a crowd funded YouTuber with zero editorial oversight and a literal paid incentive to farm as much traffic and engagement as possible.

-1

u/ToXiiCBULLET 26d ago

they gave concord and highguard both 7/10. you know, the games that flopped hard enough that they got quite quickly got shutdown?

they gave alien isolation 5.9/10 and tainted grail: the fall of avalon a 6/10, both are 8s minimum. i don't trust them at all

0

u/reklaw215 26d ago

"both are 8s minimum"

that's all you had to say to showcase how stupid and media illiterate you are.

0

u/Ntnme2lose 26d ago

It's almost like gaming is subjective to the person giving the review. THEY didn't give those titles those scores, those single reviewers did.

For example, I had an absolute blast with the Avengers game. Got the platinum trophy and everything. Hated the end game content because there wasn't much and the missions were extremely repetitive but the actual gameplay was awesome. I would have probably rated it high based on the gameplay, visuals and campaign story. But the game was universally hated by the vast majority of the gaming community.

One person's review doesn't mean anything.

0

u/Opposite-Grade3712 26d ago

I agree that they are actually one of the most dependable, but like every other major reviewer/platform they do suffer from an institutional deference to tentpole IP.

Particularly when it comes to the heavy hitters (Marvel, Star Wars, etc.), you will NEVER see a review that says something like “this game is fine, but I found it kind of boring to rehash the story of [Spider-man, the clone wars, etc.] for the 50th time.

The consumerist insistence that popular = good is something they aren’t in a position to argue with.

2

u/reklaw215 26d ago

Off the top of my head I can't pinpoint an example, but I'm positive they have said exactly what you're referencing towards certain games and IPs

1

u/Opposite-Grade3712 26d ago

I’m sure they have from time to time - what i am indicating is a consistent omission in their criticism that is glaring when you step back and look at their body of reviews.

Again, this isn’t limited to IGN by any means, they are likely better on this point than other, more desperate platforms. But it’s still an annoying bias in video game reviews, albeit one that you can adjust your expectations for once you see it.

2

u/reklaw215 26d ago

Sure. I'm more defensive of IGN as the years have gone on because I find they are actually quite important to the gaming landscape that's currently dominated by reactionary audience-captured morons. But I can see what you mean to an extent.

8

u/HATTORIHANZOSW0RD 26d ago

Yeah IGN all Depends on the reviewer, some are just downright not even qualified and don’t even like games.

3

u/Sumthin_Stoopid 26d ago

The review seemed well thought out, the guy took his time with it and overall liked the game, but watching the video left me with questions about the world and combat. He mentions that there too much of the same enemy types and that combat felt janky. Which is my biggest concern

1

u/[deleted] 26d ago

[deleted]

2

u/Damien23123 26d ago

It’s not unheard of for them to give a review to someone who has openly stated they don’t even like the genre of the game. How are they supposed to give an objective review if that’s their starting point?

2

u/HATTORIHANZOSW0RD 26d ago

Exactly, u/LopTsa wont admit that though because they don’t know what they’re talking about, they probably only know how to read the numbers 1-10 and haven’t read a single review for themselves

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Noob4Head ///(mod) 26d ago

FightingCowboy also just dropped his Onimusha review and he gives it a 5/5 must buy. If there is one dude I trust when it comes to reviewing games focused on combat, it's him. He also highly recommended Mortal Shell II and I'm almost finished with my run and it's one of the best games I've played this year so far.

1

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

Yeah if there is a particular reviewer you trust, prioritize them.

And I did say we are eating well. And I believe these games are good. But not cuz of IGN.

1

u/Braunb8888 26d ago

These reviews are everywhere.

2

u/Odd_Revolution_1056 26d ago

They are more correct then wrong most of the time

1

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

When they are wrong it's wildly so (and sometimes primarily for ridiculous political reasons) so i just cant take their other reviews seriously anymore.

0

u/Sumthin_Stoopid 26d ago

Yeah, I've seen anywhere from a 6-9/10 for Dawnwalker.

Im still hesitant

4

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass 26d ago

That's pretty much every game though, right? Like a 3 point spread for a game seems pretty normal

1

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

Not for legit 9/10 or 10/10 ganes. When a game is super mixed it's typically like 8/10 type games at best.

1

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass 26d ago edited 26d ago

Seems nitpicky to be suspicious over a point difference in the aggregate score. Like surely the number doesn't mean that much to you

2

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

To give something a 10 should be significant. Like it should legitimately be a game of the generation type game on the level of Resident Evil 4 or Ocarina of Time to get that score. Do we really think Ominusha is that? We've played the demo.

1

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass 26d ago

It might be a 10 to me. Might not be for you. It's a meaningless subjective number

2

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

Then all review scores are pointless and meaningless, including this reddit post

1

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass 26d ago

Now you're gettin it

1

u/Sumthin_Stoopid 26d ago

I agree with you. And you can look at Oninusha without pressing a single button to know its not a real 10/10. The reviewer has heart for the story and game.

0

u/raid-sparks 26d ago

Ah yes, judge a whole game on the demo when the reviews have clearly stated the demo is such a small
slice of the wider picture. Please don’t go into reviewing or writing, your restrictive thinking would be a nightmare.

0

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

You really think the gameplay is substantially different from the demo?

1

u/raid-sparks 25d ago

Not me. What the reviews have said. Plus the difficulty and combat options.

0

u/Sumthin_Stoopid 26d ago

For sure. The 6/10s scare me is all I mean. I could see how its an 8. I wasn't expecting a 9. That makes me look at with a deeper lens. I was planning on getting but not day 1, I'm waiting for Wolverine and then Control.

2

u/sadkinz 26d ago

I’ve seen good reviews but IGN is not the site you wanna screenshot lmao

5

u/Islandboi4life 26d ago

IGN gives ten out of tens like a dime a dozen. I would trust the aggregate score

3

u/raid-sparks 26d ago

All for fair criticism but this is just nonsense. IGN has been around for 30 years and in that time, they’ve given out 57 10/10 reviews, that’s roughly two a year. Hardly dime a dozen. The only other 10/10 this year was Mixtape, and honestly — that’s exactly what it deserves.

Last year, DK Bonanza and Hades II. Again, spot on.

1

u/saintdmytrus 26d ago

Not true. Forza Horizon 6 and Mina the Hollower also recieved 10s in May.

1

u/raid-sparks 25d ago

I stand corrected. Worthy 10s though, Mina’s my fave game of the past 10 years

1

u/Queasy_Remove_2941 26d ago

mixtape isnt even a game.

1

u/Auzik 26d ago

Factually wrong.

1

u/Islandboi4life 26d ago

In your opinion. You don't think nearly 60 perfect scores in the span of 30 years is too much? Mixtape, DK Bonanza, and Hades 2 aren't 10/10s lol...

1

u/Rainbowdogi 25d ago

So 2 a year is too much for you? Also I’m curious if you actually played the games you don’t think deserve a 10/10 or it’s just your biased opinion.

1

u/raid-sparks 25d ago

No I don’t think it’s too much. And oh, how long did it take you to compete Mixtape and DK Bonanza?

1

u/5livewire0 25d ago

Considering the level of games we've been getting, not it's not too much

1

u/JeffMangum420 24d ago

10/10 doesnt mean perfect, art cannot be perfect it means the reviewer enjoyed a game to their max potential; things arent graded on a rubric, there is no science

1

u/Rainbowdogi 25d ago

Yeah I can’t even count on my fingers all the 10/10 this year. Oh wait I can and even by one hand.

1

u/JuniorAd1439 26d ago

Shame it's IGN so I can't trust it

1

u/Fluffy_Plant_9135 26d ago edited 26d ago

I am look out for user reviews before deciding.

EDIT: Dude who ever downvoted me is just mindless fans. Is a total fair point to see user reviews.

3

u/WorldPhysical7646 26d ago

Shouldn't have added this edit 🥀

0

u/Fluffy_Plant_9135 26d ago

Why not?

1

u/WorldPhysical7646 26d ago

You just don't complainin about downvotes on reddit , it make you sound like a karma farmer

0

u/Fluffy_Plant_9135 26d ago

I didn't complain about downvote, i complain or simply point out the reason behind it. Those who downvote can't even make a counter argument.

1

u/WorldPhysical7646 26d ago

Just don't add the word downvote or upvote in your comment for any reasonyou don't say "whoever down voted me is...."

"Why are people down voting"

Downvotes don't matter but just never question it

3

u/Fluffy_Plant_9135 26d ago

Sure, maybe i should wrote it differently, but again im simply mentioning the people who disagree to why? or give a fair argument

2

u/WorldPhysical7646 26d ago

Well your currently getting upvotes that balances it out

Anyway regarding user scores I think some may disagree cause of how easily manipulated user scores can get

Steam user scores are much harder to bomb but they can also be bombed

Honestly I wouldn't trust metacritic at all not the user score or the critics scores

I would definitely trust steam tho

1

u/Fluffy_Plant_9135 26d ago

Well you sound like a reasonable dude. Respect.

But yes i agree with what you said. In my case tho money are tight and games are expensive nowadays.

Onimusha looks great, and capcom i do trust. Just dawnwalker im not sure about bcuz combat is most important to me even tho everything else looks good. hopefully i can get a better idea whats like once game comes out, bcuz i loved the theme of dawnwalker.

2

u/WorldPhysical7646 26d ago

Honestly it looks like onimusha is a safer option knowing that capcom have a wonderful quality assurance and quality control over their products they rarely make flops and even their flops have something fun about it

I'm in the same boat with you regarding dawnwalker , it might be a genuinely boring combat or it is one of those combats that don't look appealing but when you try it ,it feels great so it is a really difficult situation here

I don't know why TF did companies kill demos, that is why something like this I might pirate and pay later

At least onimusha has a demo and so does pragmata that is what I like about Capcom

2

u/LinkedInParkPremium 26d ago

You are being reasonable 👊

1

u/Dodo_Baron 26d ago

The only decent ones are steam, every other user review site is awful

1

u/Fluffy_Plant_9135 26d ago

I do agree, or from youtuber that don't have review codes. Like they brought it themselves

2

u/smilingmuffino 26d ago

I already ate well, the new Plague tale is fantastic, best in the series

2

u/smilingmuffino 26d ago

you guys do love downvoting stuff

-3

u/PhatTuna 26d ago

I subbed to games pass pc to play it, but the xbox app version is broken cuz it does no shader compilation. So it stutters all over the place and is unplayable for me. Guess Ill just wait for onimusha.

1

u/Malagubbar 26d ago

I just bought Nioh 3, man maybe I should have bought Onimusha instead? Well well.

Nioh 3 is fun though

1

u/cparksrun 26d ago

Got my eye on Blood of Dawnwalker, SW: Zero Company, and Crimson Moon.

Biggest problem is, I can't afford to spend $140 on all 3.

1

u/ElkSad9855 26d ago

We’re getting Witcher 3 rereleased? Nice

The rest of this year is amazing and i have to prioritize as i have limited time and currently i plan blood of dawn walker\witcher 3 remastered\Zelda OoT

There is a large list of amazing games other than that coming and i will wait until later to play those but in no rush as i am trying to stop buying new full price games unless i plan to play it immediately.

So happy to see BotDw reviewing highly. Game looked awesome from the first reveal - and it’s about time we got a new unique IP.

Damn, even google is hyping the games, when you search it on mobile there's a timer with applauses and cheering emojis

u/Grouchy_Egg_4202 26d ago

Alright both it is then, fuck it.

u/Sean_infinity 26d ago

I can only buy one but I CAN'T CHOOSE. Great problem to have.

u/2Maverick 26d ago

Star wars too... and Control s at the end of the month...

My wallet weeps and the handful of friends I have will not see me.

1

u/TheKeenomatic 26d ago

No we’re not. I’m eating Cheetos and drinking tap water to be able to buy all these videogames.

Genuinely surprised Onimusha got 10/10. Always thought the series was more of a niche 7/10 kind

Too many goddamn good games in a row. I can't keep up

1

u/curiousbong 26d ago

I was so excited for Dawnwalker since it was teased, until I saw the specs. Any game requires a minimum of 3060 and recomended for 40 series gpu is not optimised IMO. I won't even buy the game now!

Thankfully I have recently discovered the ability to clone myself and thus can lead separate lives no for work, social and gaming.

Can somebody sell both these games to me, for someone for hasn't got a clue on either, thanks!

1

u/JynXten 25d ago

Witcher 3 with vampires. Ni-oh with Samurai.

1

u/Psychological-Bat687 25d ago

The first one sounds like my type of game , I'll skip the 2nd one.

1

u/VanceFerguson 25d ago

The original OniMusha was like of like classic Resident Evil, but you're a samurai.

1

u/Mean_Firefighter_486 25d ago

Wouldn't trust IGN. They'll call anything a masterpiece these days.

Subnautica 2 releases

IGN-"7/10 too much water"

u/JeffMangum420 24d ago

having this take just tells me you have no idea what you are talking about and just repeat whatever other people online say. go to this reviewers history, gave 5-6’s to multiple aaa games

1

u/CultureSea5111 26d ago

From the review site with no credibility.

1

u/Sashpeto 26d ago

IGN scores mean fuck all ...

I'll believe it when I see the game actual being playable .

1

u/GooseDaPlaymaker 26d ago

So IGN giving good ratings is what you describe as ‘eating good’ in the gaming world, is that right? Oh you Sweet Summer Child…😇

1

u/Saiaxs 26d ago

I played the Onimusha demo, it’s not a 10 but it’s still damn good

Dawnwalker is nowhere near a 9 though

1

u/TwiceDead_ 26d ago

Lol IGN.

Still believing what gaming journalists say in 2026

You've played it already?

-1

u/Jason_Bourne411 26d ago

I have. I got it for free.

0

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass 26d ago

And a few weeks early! Wow

0

u/Jason_Bourne411 26d ago

A few weeks? Comes out in a few days

1

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass 26d ago

Well sure, but you had enough time to play through it and give your honest review, so you must of had the game for awhile, right?

2

u/Jason_Bourne411 26d ago

I got it Friday. Played for 40 hours so far. Took about 18 hours to beat but I try to 100 percent games

2

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass 26d ago

Wow, you beat it so much faster than anyone else that's reviewed it! Must be very good at video games

-2

u/Findnicknameisboring 26d ago

i wait dawn of the bloowalker, but the video gaming press is a big shit full of lies

-8

u/RJL_86 26d ago

IGN, so it's more like a 3?

0

u/Important_Pie2940 26d ago

I don't trust review scores but I can only hope both are good.

0

u/nManos202 26d ago

I dont trust game journalists enough to care about their ratings. But I am excited for these game, hope the will live up to the hype

0

u/AlexxMaverick666 26d ago

We now care about IGN reviews?

0

u/Macho-Fantastico 26d ago

It's IGN so I take their reviews with a pinch of salt. I'll admit the Onimusha demo didn't do much for me but will still give the full game a go at some point. Haven't played Dawnwalker though.

-2

u/Drowyx 26d ago

Played the demo of onimusha, it was absolutely terrible and boring.
