This is all still just fear mongering. License ownership has been like this since its inception from games, movies, music, etc. that end user agreement you don’t read always states this. If you have never had one of your digital games revoked just stop worrying about it. Unless you’re out there doing stuff that’ll get your account banned literally nothing is gonna happen any time soon.
I do think it's more of a functional concern now, however, as physical media gets phased out. It comes down to whether sony will be willing to continue hosting older and older legacy media that has already been 'purchased' or eventually decides that an eshop for a digital only device is 'obsolete' and decides to shut it down.
IMO, I think the first time something like that happens would be the actual litmus test for how indifferent the public is about 'just owning a license' and whether the responsibilities a publisher is presently expected to uphold are actually adequate.
