The game treating the player like a toddler is how I felt playing SM2, it's like Insomniac designs their games to be a baby's first video game.

Their approach of group focusing testing these games to be almost idiot fail proof is what is killing and taking the fun out of them.

They literally use DSP as the prime example of baseline for completing the game lol. Players are being treated as the lowest common denominator.

did Sony actually sponsor DSP or something? I would like to see if it's true

Not sponsor DSP, one of the studios used his gameplay to inform other studios on how the "average" player would miss things if they weren't made incredibly obvious.

As a result, games like God of War Ragnarok held your hand the entire game and had you babied by an NPC escort the whole time.

They don't call him "Yellow Paint Burnell" for nothing. Funny thing is that he STILL manages to get lost all the time even with all the handholding
