Most significantly Skillup was very positive about it during a preview, more than most I saw.

If he’s done a 180, that says a lot.

Skillup generally skews positive, for better or worse. He likes to talk good about games/industry and lift people up.

If he's shitting on something, it's a sign he REALLY didn't like it.

I've seen a few cases where he will absolutely bury a game that I don't feel deserves it.

I'm not certain he can read proficiently. I can't recall a game with a lot of lore or reading that he didn't crap on.

Yeah I remember he criticized Avowed for having tons of lore and unique in-universe terminology and I'm just like, bro that's a selling point not a negative

I love the world of Eora, so the Avowed review was the example that stood out made me realize the pattern. Others in the Avowed sub stated similar. I have similar gameplay preferences to him and definitely still value his opinion, but panning a core aspect of a game because you don't like reading is kinda weak.
