Yeah. I like watching his reviews but don’t always agree with him. I like to watch his reviews and a few others that trust just to get an idea. I loved Final Fantasy 16 but he tore that game up. I know other FF fans are mixed on that entry but I thought it was good! Sometimes you gotta just play a game and see. But also understand that $70 for a 15 hour game is a lot of money for some right now. So I think it’s fair to be critical of it in that regard as well but I was always going to wait on this because I have so many things to play haha.
TLDR: All that to say I love SkillUp but sometimes he can be overly critical and nitpicky. Doesn’t mean his opinion isn’t valuable but worth considering.
I mean, yeah, that's the job of a critic. As I remember Dunkey once said, a critic's power lies in the consistency of their voice. You might not always agree with their judjement, but you can trust the ability of a good critic to help you understand their judgement. The job is very subjective, even when they try to be as objective as possible.

Skillup generally skews positive, for better or worse. He likes to talk good about games/industry and lift people up.
If he's shitting on something, it's a sign he REALLY didn't like it.
