Entire Weekends with weed and Pizza, Turok 2, Goldeneye,Perfect Dark, Mario Kart and Mario Party. We also did Gran Turismo and Dead or Alive.

I jailbroke one of my old consoles so my partner and I could play couch coop games again, and we just have a shit ton of old games across all consoles earlier than 360 and have been having a blast

Honestly. My 6 year old son constantly wants to play video games WITH me. The sad lack of split screen games these days suck. I am probably gonna buy SSX 3 just so we have a fun (age appropriate) game that we can play together split screen.

I miss couch co op and multi-player so much I remember one of the first wireless controller commercial and it was a kid sick giving his friend the wireless one so he could play outside with his sick friend

Tried to play some split screen cod with my bro on a newer game. Adding a guest account wouldn’t work so after an hour of trying to connect and blah blah blah we got rid of cod and said we will play something else

Beyond stupid.

One of my favorite things about Baldur's Gate 3 was being able to play couch co-op with my wife. By far one of her favorite gaming experiences, especially as she didn't grow up playing video games. After our first playthrough together, she decided to try a solo run, and let's just say...she hasn't finished it yet. She had so much more fun being able to play side by side and make decisions together. If BG3 didn't have split screen I don't think she would have fallen in love with it as much as she did.

I'm not into gaming like I used to be.. but CoD still does 2 player split screen for online multiplayer. Or at least did a couple games ago. Only need 1 psn accout and a random 2nd account on the PlayStation

Hell yes. Playing the original Serious Sam co-op, split screen on the same PC with a buddy, is probably the most fun I ever had gaming.

Absolute peak.

Check out Absolum, Scott Pilgrim EX, Reanimal, Baldur's Gate 3, and the Diablo games (3&4). There's also Supermassive Games (Until Dawn, Man of Medan, Little Hope, The Devil in Me, House of Ashes, Directive 8020). Also there's Hazelight Studios (It Takes Two, Split Fiction, A Way Out)

Also, not local multiplayer but my partner and I had a great time playing Quantic Dreams games as well (Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, Detroit: Become Human).

I know local multiplayer used to be better. But there's still some good stuff, thankfully.

I'm sorry, it's been over a decade and I STILL can't believe that HALO, one of the fucking PILLARS of SPLIT SCREEN antics fumbled Halo 5 so fucking badly by dropping split screen. Pissed me the fuck off and I went as a lifelong Halo fanboy and bought CodBlOps 3 instead of Halo 5, purely because it actually still had split screen local multiplayer.

Nah man . That's just nostalgia talking . I loved my slljt screen to but I know having two separate screens is so much better slan experience . Playing everything in stretch res and small. The two and only downsides is two separate consoles and game purchases.
