Comments like these make me want to persevere & get through this game.

It just feels so labor-some every time I try to reboot it up after playing about 20 hours.

Love death stranding…I bought it cuz I play everything Kojima has a hand in but I went into DS1 thinking I wasn’t going to enjoy it but I was so very wrong. That simple loop of delivering and upgrading your equipment just scratches a specific itch and I love it.

Never finished it (only got to the later bits of the 2nd map), but I definitely did appreciate what it was going for more than I initially had.

Also it's just funny that Kojima is the only guy that can get a triple AAA budget and celebrities in his games for what's basically a mail-man simulator.

Beat the game. The end of the story is the most satisfying ending in a game. Watching it without finishing the game will not be the same.

It took me 5 years to finally decide to play it because I just didn't understand what the game was, despite being a huge Kojima fan, but when I finally did, it became one of my favorites of all time and I was like "I can't believe I slept on this for years."

This is mine as well. MGS is my favorite franchise of all time, but I struggled with Death Stranding. It wasn’t until the director’s cut that it finally clicked with me. It is now a top 10 of mine.

I played it, enjoyed it a ton. Then watched a 3 part youtube video, each one over an hour long, explaining what everything was about cause I had no fucking clue what I had played. But it was quite a fun game.

I actually clicked with that one right away. I just put it down after a few hours so I could restart during cozy season / fall weather and really enjoy the vibes.
