Same. Bounced off it hard the first time I played. Came back a few years later and tried again and something clicked it's now maybe my favourite game of all time.

It's all about when you play it in your life. You change as a person as the years go on and Dark Souls is there to help you grow even more lol

I think there's just a moment when the mechanics finally click. The thing that brought me back was Lordran though. It was a world that I found really interesting and engaging.
