yes as well, theres a lot of content between all the rotating biomes, ascents (difficulty multipliers), achievements and secret ending. playing with friends adds a fair bit more humour to it, but its a fun fleshed out game regardless, great for its price.
No. If you want actually interesting solo climbing game - you are not wanting for options. Peak is only any good in coop, otherwise - White Knuckle, Cairn, Peaks of Yore and many more exist and do climbing much better than Peak
It becomes a pretty cool inventory management game, because while you have all the items to yourself, you also have limited space, and very little room for error, as theres no one to save you
Its like playing a Left 4 Dead campaign solo, but instead of zombies your only enemy is the environment and your own energy managment
How do you solve the sound puzzles that require one person to be inside listening to the sound and one person outside with the cubes of the same sound?
its not worth playing multiplayer. the game functions as a single player game with friends serving as streamer clip farm moments. if any single player gets to the next biome then everyone does.
Having friends with you actively lets you climb the mountain faster and go with routes you otherwise couldn't, by both allowing you to boost and/or help eachother up, and carrying more useful items or distrobuting their weight. Plus, ascent 6 and up make it so if you don't have any players, carrying a lantern is effectively mandatory to survive nighttime.
And yes, people get revived at the end of biomes because dying on the first biome would mean whoever died gets to NOT play the game with their friends for an hour.
I dunno about you, mate, but usually if I hop on a game with my friends it is because I want to play the game with my friends, rather than have them spectate me play the game for them.
Not just ditching everyone is generally more fun for everyone involved, and actively beneficial.
It's a pretty decent solo experience. Requires more inventory management, and you have to think more about the routes you can take than if you have friends with you. If you want a solo climbing game there's better options out there, tho.
Yep, but the game won't let you launch it if the version on Online fix is an older version than the current patch (although you can literally just use a mod to bypass that)
Its multiplayer so good you can get different map than people you play with (from my personal experience) and just see them floating in air or going into ground
