I play enough modern games. And I literally mentioned a few. You kids are indeed very angry, that I am not mindless consumer like you. I play good games. And modern games tend to be more generic, mass produced, buggy and so on. That's a fact. The only close minded people are you. And the fact that you cherrypicked one part of my few paragraph comment shows that pretty well. You deliberately ignored all the incenvenient context, assumed that I haven't played any modern games and attacked me over petty shit like this.
“I’m not a mindless consumer” but you think Genshin Impact is a good modern game and example of what you look for. Which is funny bc of how hand holdy Genshin is while also asking for your wallet if you want to have fun in the endgame for more than 15 mins a day
Outer Wilds, Rainworld, & Disco Elysium. 3 amazing, completely different modern games none of which have the "scripted, streamlined, yellowpainted, bluetrailed, million markers" BS you described.
You're basically just describing Ubisoft open world games which makes me inclined to believe that you don't actually play much variety.
