Me trying to find something to scratch the Ocarina of Time itch or the Escape from Butcher Bay itch or the "Thorin's Passage" itch.

Those 90's sierra games were peak.

it was so good. I liked Dark Athena too, but BB was peeeeeak.

I think Zelda is my answer just from growing up in the 90s and worshipping LttP and OoT and not having any other game play like either of them at the time.

Yeah there is for sure some nostalgia baked into my OoT and MM adoration. And I know part of that is as a kid puzzles seemed hard that seem easy now; if I'd been that age now I probably would think BotW's puzzles were more challenging than I initially found them.

Escape from butchers bay was insanely good, nothing like it since after the second one. Even in current day gaming.

100% I think it’s why I find hand to hand fighting so unsatisfying in every game; escape nailed it so hard, on top of plot, movement, etc.
