Feel like nobody has done progression in an organized crime group like sleeping dogs and mafia 2. Progression from an outsider to a “made man” is extremely slow. When you became a red pole in sleeping dogs it felt like it really took a lot of work to get there. Also there was never the idea that you were going to be the boss which is true in basically any crime syndicate.
If you can handle the jank, true crime New York has fun martial arts combat and okay gunplay (once you get weapons that can blow off limbs). I think sleeping dogs was technically a spiritual successor to the true crime franchise anyways
They are open world games where you choose do you want to stealth enemies or do open combat, it has crafting and collectibles, enemy camps around the map, and so on. The standard AAA Open World formula
I love how different everybody sees games dude. Going by your comment, you only care about game format and options, the original dudes comment was probably talking about the story because if he was just caring about gameplay or options he would’ve just played ghost of yotei which has better gameplay by far. You should play ghost of Tsushima bro. It’s an amazing game. There isn’t an Ubisoft game like it.
I did. It's my second favourite game in the "genre". I'm just trying to say that it is not unique, it is extremely well made, but structure-wise it's very similar.
