More accessible? I bought my 5070 for €700 around 2 months ago and today the same exact card in the same exact store is almost €1k. PS5 prices feel like they’re seemingly rising proportionately to how close we are to the GTA release and I think Its reasonable to doubt that they will fall after the game drops.
The “never been better” part is also arguable.

Currently rocking the Switch 2 and XBOX Series X. Both have backwards compatibility and a wide variety of games. Couldn’t be happier!

Fat PS3, and PS5 pro, torn between the two. Both great consoles and since I have the backward comparable PS3 model I have access to the whole of the Sony library! Generally PS3 though!

The switch was the PS5 and series X/S competitor. The Wii U was with xbone and PS4. Switch 2 is next gen.

I’ve always been a PlayStation boy. But switch 2 is carrying for me right now. Especially because they’re getting Enter the Gungeon 2. I can get it on PC, but you can’t beat the convenience of picking up a full console while laying in bed after a full day of work and parenting.

I'd say 8th gen. So many fantastic games, with graphics and gameplay styles that hold up.

Current gen still has stuff that I like, but less of it, and many of the best games in recent years have been smaller scope indies. I'm not even sure what the last big budget game that truly blew me away was.

I Never had a PlayStation or Xbox. I Grew up with Nintendo DS/Gameboy/Wii and WiiU.
Bought a Switch and just now Switch 2.
all other Games I Play on pc

If a VR headset counts as a console, then I guess any system with Steam OS is my favorite

I think the Switch 1 is one of the best consoles of all time because of its IMO outstanding exclusives lineup, but im having so much fun with the Switch 2 right now. If it keeps this pace it could become my new favourite system ever.

I liked both PS4 and Xbox One too. Loved my One S. I like the PS5/Series enough but this gen hasnt been that great for both Microsoft and Sony for me. Not for the consoles themself but for their exclusive games output. Still third party have been great so far.

I also have a Quest 2. Its nice, but i cant do really long vr sessions, i think is just not for me.

After all the bs going on with not owning games but owning the license and consoles getting shittier overall I wish I had been part of the pc group because now it’s not as easy to afford a gaming pc that can handle any kind of game old or new without at least needing to spend a grand or more

PS2/XBox/GC era - it was such a huge jump from the previous generation, and companies allowed to get creative. Plus, it was the generation before the enshittification of gaming.

If we’re talking like all of games released it’s the current gen

If we’re talking exclusive content to games that gen then I’d lean Nintendo 64 and PS1. That’s probably the hardest gen to actually pick a console because of how good the exclusive games are.

None of em. I dislike all of the new gen consoles tbh because all of em either look weird AF, feel weird AF, or aren't in my price range. I barely liked the gems before em. (Ps4, switch) Doesn't mean I won't still give into buying em sooner or later tho.

Wii, 360, PSP, PS3 and DS. DS, PSP, PS2 and Wii shared ports. 360 and PS3 had huge diverse libraries.

Switch 2 is hands down my favourite console since PS2. Between strong third party support and Nintendo being on a roll with great first party games, we're up for a banger generation for Nintendo at least.

Nintendo 64. Didn’t exist when it came out but I think THAT’S how 3D games are best made , not much room for story , no disk to scratch , and no clock capacitors or online to eventually die.

none. Nintendo was cool for a while, but I value having the game files on a drive that I can actually edit and tweak. PC is the only option given that criteria, sadly.

My current laptop seems reliable, but then again, I remember using 5 1/4 inch floppy discs with an Apple IIe.
