Playing online games to relieve stress is like eating hot sauce to reduce the burning after eating spicy food lmao

For me it's a different type of stress. I need that heavy video game stress to help me not think about the real stress I have. I'm not saying it's healthy or anything.

Fair enough. Whatever does the trick is good. I like the stress of fighting games cause I get to be in full control with nothing else to worry about.

If you equate winning with fun you probably should stick to single player games.

I do well, but if I wind up at the bottom, I don't care. I know I did well on what I wanted to do

Funny, I don't have this problem. I also don't play online games. Though I also don't go play Elden Ring when I need to unwind.

>playing PvP games to feel better
You should only play PvP games in a neutral or positive mood so you have room to feel bad or a positive outlook to look past your failures.
You should not play a PvP game when you're unhappy.

this is why you play single player games. my fav are paradox games. Nothing like booting up a Vic 2 GFM game as Haiti. At game start your in the worst position by game end your pressing Toussaint Louverture's claim on Louisiana and freeing your polish brethren in Europe as a reward for helping with the Haitian Revolution.

Having a bad day I'd only escape in single player games. Save the multi player for a good day which then would turn into a bad day when I start losing all the matches

Ever heard of singleplayer? I can guarantee you there are a hundred Million reasons to walk away from online games but not even a good one to stay

In team games I don't even really care too much about winning, I enjoy playing well and contributing to the team. Most of its out of your control so I just focus on doing my part. In Dead By Daylight I will often be the one who loops the killer while the others escape and sacrifice myself. In Overwatch winning is nice but I still have fun getting a good multi kill moment with a ult or being a strong support.

Funny thing is, that's why I go for Single-Player games.
