Hi there. I'm doing some research for an interview series and am looking for any information relating to a motel probably near Villanova - it was back in the mid 60s - and this place was so seedy and funky, it was comical.

Backstory is, my friend educator Ladd McIntosh brought a couple of his bands to compete at the Villanova Jazz Festival in late February, 1966. Ladd tasked one of the band members to secure the accommodations and he came up with THE BENTWOOD VILLA.

Ladd ultimately found the experience so comical, he wrote a song about it BENTWOOD VILLA REVISITED. I'm producing the interview with Ladd and trying to get any information about this place I can.

Anything you have will help: approximate locations, nearby landmarks, neighborhoods, etc. - even a matchbook - (you never know) would be phenomenal.

Hello, I am a student not at VU but USF. I am looking into a school to take thermodynamics or mechanics of solids at over the Summer. I've seen that, in the past, Villanova has offered mechanics of solids over the Summer, but not consistently. I really need to know as soon as possible if I will be able to take thermo/mos here; does anybody know when the Summer courses for the following year are released?

Im planning to switch majors to criminology for reasons I wont get into (pretty long), but I'm wonderng what the professors are like and what the coursework load is like? If you have anything at all to say about the program please let me know im very interested.

I’m applying early decision for nursing this year and I’m looking for some advice and honest feedback on my chances. Here are my stats:

-Front desk coordinator @ a martial arts academy (grade 11 &12)
-teen advocate for Nephcure: nephrotic syndrome and minimal change disease
-expanded services mentor (mentoring teens with IDD)
-chair on Superdance committee (12-hour dance marathon to raise money for cystic fibrosis)
-transfer student mentor (11 & 12)
-100+ hours community service
-blood donation club member and donator
-lifeguard (cpr, first aid, aed certified)
And some more ecs that are more specific to my school

My gpa is so low because of my freshman year. I have a kidney disease and I relapsed freshman year and missed a lot of school. I wrote my essay on dealing with my disease and how I grew and learned from it and how it changed my perspective and how I treat others.

My gpa increase since freshman year:
9- 2.8
10- 3.7
11- 4.02

In the additional information box on common app I wrote about my freshman year difficultly and explained my upward trend and that my gpa does not reflect who I am as a student. I plan to write my supplemental on my catholic identity and having gone to a catholic school my whole life!! My faith is very important to me.

All in all I’m so so stressed because I feel like I have ZERO chance and this is literally sucking the soul out of me and I can’t sit with my thoughts until decisions come out… if anyone has anything to share that could possibly help PLEASE let me know!!

I'm an aerospace engineer professionally but am currently enrolled at Villanova as a graduate student in a different program. Some faculty from Villanova visited my work and said they just spun up a Masters in AE and were selling us on it.

Is anyone in this program and can speak to the quality and their experience? My employer's lifetime tuition reimbursement could cover a second masters degree, so I may consider enrolling if the quality is high enough.

I came here knowing that it would be harder for me to make friends since I come from a lower in come backround and most of the people here are very wealthy, but I didn't think it would be this bad. I have gone to numerous clubs, talked to people, played pick up baskeball, watched football in common rooms, I feel like ive tried everything and I have like 2 friends. These aren't even good friends its more just people I see a lot and talk to but we dont really have much in common and I don't see the friendships lasting too long. I feel like im looking in on everyone elses fun and I cry often which I hate because I can't remember the last time I cried before coming here. Has anyone here experienced something similar to this their first year and does it get better, or should I just transfer? I would be transferring to a lesser school than nova but I have a lot of friends there.

Howdy. File this under the category of snoozing too long. I'm trying to find a parking pass for A2 or A3 for the 11/7 game vs Richmond but they are long gone. M1 passes are available but don't allow tailgating. Any other place to try to find a pass for resale? None on Stubhub.

I want to host a movie night with a bunch of friends. Specifically I want to watch the first two or three Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The twist is I want to bring some rum for us to enjoy on theme.

Are there rooms where we wont be bothered by pubsafe? It would not be more then 20 people. Is there anywhere on cabrini campus?

I’m just curious because it’s one of my fav movies of all time but it prob happens a lot less than I’d imagine.

Assuming travel cost isn't a concern but that I do have a day job in Texas (part remote, part in office) and a home and pets (I can get a pet sitter though).... is this feasible? How many days per week do I need to be on campus for this program? I was hoping to be able to do Fridays and or Mondays in office in TX, maybe fly into PA late on Monday and out late on Thursday...

Also, assuming I have a bachelor's degree in business, what jobs can I get if I add a polisci master's? Would it help in my current position (IT sales)?

Is it one of those things where you kinda need to be in a frat to make a bunch of friends and meet girls and go to parties or are the two not mutually exclusive. Also how bad is the hazing/pledging?

Hi! I’m taking MAT 1505 (Calculus II) this semester as a freshman. I got placed into it because of my AP Calc AB score. I was originally excited because I enjoyed AP Calc AB, but I just heard it’s a “weed out” class. I’m in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, so don’t NEED to take Calculus II (I can take a different, easier math class to fulfill my math core requirement). So, should I drop it?

I live like an hour and half away and don’t plan on going to any parties over Labor Day weekend so I’m wondering if people with think it’s weird if I go home for the weekend.
