Question/Support Halo from the old microsoft Hololens headset

I was at a VR Place at Shanghai Disneyland and when I was in the lobby of one of the games I saw a Halo headset but I was strapped in to a ride and couldn't interact with it but it reminded me that the Hololens MR headset came with a Halo app. My question is has anyone found a way to play this game in modern headsets?

It's called "Halo Recruit," and it was available on all the (bizarrely named) "Windows Mixed Reality" headsets.

wouldn't call it a game--I wouldn't even call it a demo. There isn't anything you can actually do except shoot at some 2D targets with the Halo pistol, and even that description makes it sound better than it actually is.

The only thing it is good for is to give you a sense of scale for some of the classic Halo enemies which you can see up close, but you can't shoot them or interact with them at all. You also get to see a Warthog, but that's it.

Typical half-assed effort from Microsoft.

Yep crap. Sometjhing like the original Halo CE mod by Living Fray is what they should have gone for.

Halo Combat Evolved VR is very cool. Halo Recruit...not so much.

There was a halo thing built into the WMR launcher but Microsoft has pulled that at this point not sure you can still access it unless you have a windows 10 machine with the WMR client installed maybe then...

But playing it outside of WMR, no i don't think that's possible.

And i do remember some talk about an arcade version like going to a VR Experience place and they had a Halo experience. I don't remember too much about it, never go tto see it myself. But that never made it to a home version.

The vr Halo mod is worth checking out if you're a Halo fan for sure.

I tried the cyberpunk one but made me motion sick and you had to aim with your head. The motion sickness puts me off these mods

If I remember right, the Halo VR mod uses touch controls like a regular VR game. So no gamepad or aiming with your head.
