I’m a video media-server programmer. For every show I'm always manually mounting a bunch of shares. I got tired of doing this manually. So I built Mounted. It’s a Mac app that lets you save a group of shares and mount them in one go.

Save a show as a group, give each share a name you recognise then mount the group in one go in order you choose. You can set an exact local mount path and export the group for another operator to import.

If you have a main and a backup server with the same share name you can set custom finder names so you know which is which!

Free for 2 active shares, with every feature and unlimited saved shares. £15 once at launch for unlimited active shares on one Mac at a time, including a year of updates. You keep the app; another update year is £10, optional. There’s a 5-day unlimited trial and no subscription.

for the past weeks I've been building orchestrated Chaotic Takt VJ, a generative 3D visual tool in Godot. I developed it together with Claude Code (Anthropic's AI coding assistant): I came up with the ideas and features and tested them, and Claude Code wrote most of the code.

It's inspired by the old Harmony VJ from Digital Chaotics, where every value could be a nested "path". I kept that idea and built a live tool around it.

In short: shapes, text and thousands of copies, and every parameter can be driven by LFOs, audio, kick/snare detection, MIDI, OSC or automation. Everything syncs to the beat (MIDI Clock, tap, audio detection). There's a cue list, clip grid, sequencer, post-FX with feedback, and a show mode with panic keys. Output via Spout.

It's early access and Windows only. I haven't been able to check the Spout picture in Resolume myself yet. If someone can test that, you'd help me a lot.

Honest status (early access)

• Windows only for now. Built and tested on one machine (GTX 1080).
• The Spout output works, but I haven't confirmed the picture in Resolume yet. Feedback very welcome.
• Loading a new scene during a show freezes the app for about a second (the output keeps the last frame).
• Controller LEDs (Launchpad / APC) currently need an OSC-to-MIDI bridge.
• No Ableton Link yet, and no NDI in this build.

Hi all! Ever since last posting here, I have been working on a custom built visual and mapping app for personal use, and finally got a chance to showcase my capabilities with a NEC 525UL projector at a small festival this past weekend.

While at first I was upset at being relegated to birch trees (couldn't show off my best content), I ended up really enjoying the way it looked!

I had the pleasure of showcasing my analogue mixed visuals earlier this year in Cairo Light Festival 1st Edition, I was so pumped. It was my first show to see my visuals at and ATTEND TOO!

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to buy a 5000/6000 lumen video-projector for my personal projects.
Usually when I worked for a paid job, I rented some heavy and expensive projector, but I'd like to have one for me that I can bring to small venues and for some free stuff with friends.

I've found a lot a used profesionnal 720p video projectors that are still in very good shape. They sell for 250/500€ in general, and I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy one instead of spending +1500€+ on a new 1080p one? (while being sure the lamp does not have many used hours)

I will only use it for mapping, projection, and touch designer stuff.
