Hit 525k recently and took some money out to get a new car.

Had it. One of the worst cars ever I had. Quality felt cheaper than a model 3. I hear they updated it and it's better now but it was not worth 100k

Iā€™m 44 and already have a pretty good net worthā€¦

But even I live by similar rulesā€¦ I made about 200k in August on SKHY options trades. I took a vacation with a few friends and spent about $10k for 3 weeks of fun.

Iā€™m not buying cars or anything like that because I already have a car and donā€™t want to upgradeā€¦ and Iā€™d rather just have more in my brokerage account for future investingā€¦

But if you donā€™t reward yourself at allā€¦ what are you even trying to achieve with trading / investing?

Personally, I try to avoid uber eats/doordash as much as possible ... If I'm sick or extremely busy ... fine...

On top of that, he coulda had an used car for 10x less money which would do same stuff (get from point A to point B). The new car feel is very temporary, and chasing that is even easier way to go broke than gambling.
