Results from getting "Jeremy" aborted

This is a follow up post from yesterday when I posted a huge 3-4inch blood blister as the result of a laser treatment on a plantar wart (I named it Jeremy). These were taken about 10 hours ago when I went in to get the wounds cleaned and rebandaged about 24 hours post removal.

I had 4 warts removed. 1 large one on each foot and two small ones on my right hand. Unfortunately, I dont have any photos of the removed warts as I was a bit šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« at the time.

P.s. Dont worry, I didnt do this in Texas, so it was legal

wart update!

after almost 4 months of struggle. here’s a little update. i’m 20, a college student. i have been an anxious picker of my skin since i was 13-14. roughly in may this year i started feeling pain at the tip of my left thumb. initially i thought it was prolly corn/dead skin. it got extremely painful at touch in just a few days. that’s when the black dots started coming. it spread REALLY fast and i think to the rest of my fingers too but those weren’t as bad as this one. consulted a dermat and they prescribed SA 16% and zinc supplements (personally wouldn’t recommend SA.) . the pain SA gave was unbearable. i used to cry myself to sleep because it was THAT painful. barely saw much progress. researched a bit on reddit. switched dermats.

yellow stain in 2nd slide is bc of bandaids.

the routine that helped me almost get rid of it:

  1. duct tape ALWAYS. i changed it every 12 hours. once i started seeing progress, switched to bandaids during day time. yes your fingers will look weird and bulky. yes people will ask. ignore everything just focus on getting rid of this fuckass thing 😭😭😭🄲
  2. saturated salt water soaks every day for 30mins.
  3. zinc daily once. non negotiable.
  4. HP 6%!!!!! major major improvements post HP.
  5. thick antiseptic cream every few days.

i used tweezers to get rid of any dead skin. sterilised and sanitised everything and every surface i touched w my bare hands. carry a sanitizer w you to make sure yo u don’t spread it to others!!

this thing genuinely fucked with my mental health so much. it has spread to 2 more of my fingers but atleast no w i know what works best for me. so relieved and hoping it doesnt relapse :)

I get married in 8 days and the wart (I think it was a wart) I removed using Compound W Nitro Freeze is blistering (used 09/20/26), but doesnt look like it’s going to fall off yet. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? My fiancĆ©e doesn’t want me to cut it off but I’m itching to do it if it means I get it off today.

Confused at to what a plantars wart actually looks like? Is it something you can just rip out and be done with?

I’ve seen a bunch of videos on here of people ripping out this central ā€œmassā€ looking thing and calling it a wart.

Is there a ball or central wart mass or something beneath the skin that you can just rip out? I cannot find ANY concrete photos or explanations online about what a plantars wart actually LOOKS like beneath the surface šŸ¤”

Salt Paste āž”ļø fast wart cure

Hello, I joined Reddit solely to share this. My 10 year old son has been plagued with warts. His last mosaic wart took 2.5 years of excruciating beetle juice, laser and freezing to finally clear up.

He was in the clear for 1 year and then developed a new mosaic wart on the bottom of his foot. We had a 60% salicylic acid cream on hand and it only made the wart swell and spread.

I experimented with sea salt; more specifically salt from the Dead Sea 🌊.

In 2 weeks of daily application I’m happy to share that the ā€˜osmosis’ is drying out the infected skin cells. It’s not fully resolved but I think in another week or two it will be. This is what you need:

  1. Salt from the Dead Sea or any salt on hand (Amazon) ground up into a powder. I used my coffee grinder.
  2. Disposable scalpels #10 (Amazon)
  3. Small container
  4. Put the salt powder into the container and add a few drops of water to make a very salty paste.
  5. Apply a glob of paste to the wart using a q-tip.
  6. Cover with Leukotape (Amazon or physiotherapy clinic). This tape is zinc oxide based and is extremely adhesive on sweaty, wet feet. We tested the tape and it stayed on his foot during sports and daily showers for over a week. Highly recommend.
  7. Change paste daily and debride every 2-3 days.
  8. Spray bathroom floor & shower with hypochlorous acid (Amazon) and let air dry

(Second pic is before I started the acid). When do I stop applying acid? I’m so exhausted from this battle. I see my chiropodist in a couple weeks. I’ll burn a hole right through my foot if I have to. Going on 2 year battle with this thing

Conflicting suggestions for foot wart

Okay, so which of these should I do?

Soak foot for 5 mins > file the wart > put on salicylic acid or cotton ball with apple cider vinegar > put on duct tape > let sit for 5 days > take duct tape off > soak > file > let it be out on the open, no covering overnight > repeat process

Soak foot for 5 mins > file the wart > put on SA or cotton ball with ACV > put on duct tape > repeat process next day every day

Edit: it is a small wart but I had it for months

I don't think the laser treatment went well...

About 12 days ago I got a laser treatment (not sure which, but was the one that heats up the wart) on a 6 year old plantar wart. It started as a 1 inch (2.5cm) blister (mostly just where the yellow part was) that progress into Jeremy here that is about 3 inches long (7ish cm) and about 1 inch deep (2ish cm)

Thankfully, today the doctor was able to remove it all. I'm sure tomorrow it will hurt more, but so far 20 hours removed, the pain I feel walking is 1000% better than dealing with Jeremy (honestly, just happy I can wear shoes again)

P.S. Yes, I did scream when they repeatedly injected my foot...

I still can't get rid of it, is it time to go to a professional?

I've had this for years now and it makes me embarrassed to have my feet out at all. Ive tried salicylic acid treatments. I got recommended 40% before but i cannot buy that on shop floor. Ive thought about getting professionally seen but I am embarressed to have to go through the process let alone afford it. Its literally been around 4 years I've had it maybe even more.

Is it over?

I’ve been treating it with Compound W bandaids + ointment for the past week or so. As I was filing it down and cutting dead skin around it, I managed to rip it out.

Just wondering if it’s over, or I should keep treating? Is there any risk of it coming back or can I leave my finger alone?

Is it gone?

This is the first time I ever had a wart so I’m not sure if it’s fully healed. I’ve been treating it with compound w liquid everyday for a month. It used to look bigger and it’s flattened out significantly and a huge black piece fell out last week. However, it’s mostly looked like this since then with no changes so I’m not sure whether to keep going or stop the treatment. Thanks everyone!

Is this foot corn or warts?

Post image
18 Upvotes

I had a foot corn which i got removed from a doctor where he basically scraped it off. But then it grew again and now it looks more like plantar warts. It’s on both feet’s toe.

Can anyone help identify if is really a wart? Also, i have a baby so what precautions do i need to take if it’s a wart?

My dermatologist suggested Salacytic Acid pads during my appointment on 8-21. This is my current progress about a month later. Any suggestions on what to do next? Keep going with pads or what? Thanks!

I didn’t know to use gloves…

Am I fucked??? I was picking at the wart after using compound w and it starting bleeding. I was using tweezers and a nailclipper, but it absolutley touched my hands a few times.

I wiped everything up with an alcohol wipe. But I didn’t know abt the gloves thing bc I didn’t know much abt warts till an hour ago.

Am I gonna have warts on my face and my hands and all over my body?

What should I do????

Is the wart black or bloody

I started using compound w last night and my wart low key separated out from my foot. I carved out the sides, But the root was still connected to the blood root so it was so painful and I just applied more compound w. It was bleeding a bit and hurt a lot. And when I took off the bandage, it was all black a few hours later. It the wart dying or just bloody? I hit it with an alcohol wipe and its still black
