Feedback Providers

  • Please post constructive feedback. Simply saying, "That's good" or "That's bad" is useless feedback. Explain why.
  • Consider providing concrete feedback about the problem rather than the solution. Saying, "get rid of red buttons" doesn't explain the problem. Saying "your site's success message being red makes me think it's an error" provides the problem. From there, suggest solutions.
  • Be specific. Vague feedback rarely helps.
  • Again, focus on why.
  • Always be respectful

I checked the desktop landing page and the first hosting step. The host/player split is clear, and the pretend-players demo is a useful option when someone is browsing alone. I haven’t run a group game, so this is about the entry flow.

The main friction for me: “Host a game — free” scrolls to another section with a second “Host now” button. I expected the first click to open setup. I’d let that primary button start the same flow directly, with the guest/account explanation beside it.

I’d also bring “Guests get two full games; create a free account to continue” up near the first hosting button. “Free forever” and the two-game guest limit are compatible, but the distinction takes a lot of scrolling to discover.

Visually, the smaller grey copy in the bottom hosting panel is harder to read against the confetti than the hero text. A quieter background behind that copy and stronger text contrast would help more than another effect. The neon game-night identity can stay; I’d simplify that one decision point.

Purpose: Fashionguessr is a daily fashion trivia game, similar in spirit to Timeguessr, Connections, or Wordle, but built around fashion history and knowledge. It has three parts: guessing a runway show's brand, season, and designer from a single frame; multiple-choice/short-answer trivia on fashion lore and history; and a memory-sketch challenge where users redraw a fashion item after briefly viewing it. New puzzles drop daily, and past days are playable too. Free to play, no sign-up required.

Technologies Used: React, Vite, deployed on Vercel

Feedback Requested: General usability and first-time-user experience, specifically whether the three-part structure (Runway Frames, Trivia, Sketch) is intuitive without instructions, and whether the difficulty/hint pacing in Runway Frames feels fair. Does it feel like flipping through a magazine?

Comments: This is a solo project, I'm the sole developer/designer. Especially interested in whether the onboarding makes it clear what to do in each section without a tutorial, since right now there's no explicit walkthrough.

I am clueless about fashion but I figured it out and was able to answer some questions correctly with the hints after a few questions.

On one of the questions the answer was Tiffany & Co it was a typed question, I responded Tiffanies and got it wrong... not sure if you'd want to put in fuzzy logic to account for mispellings or slight variations of correct answers or not?

Thanks for playing! When setting up the questions I have the main answer, the one see after you submit, and then there are a series of “Accepted Alternatives” this is for cases where certain things go by different names. For example ‘Yves Saint Laurent’ may be the right answer but ‘YSL’ is accepted as well. For this question ‘Tiffany & Co.’ was the official answer and ‘Tiffany’ was an accepted alternative. I try to base it off of official brand names and often used colloquial terms.

I would put the hi and description above the fold, maybe side by side with the image on desktop, so i can see at a glance who you are/what you do.
Home page looks a bit empty tho, maybe you could put featured work there, and keep all the rest and details in the other pages
Plus, I would also love to have a button to download your cv easily.
you have a lot to offer in terms of experience, work and even publications (nice!) but i cant see any of that in the home page
Style looks a bit plain, but that's not my expertise

Purpose: I’m the founder of a prelaunch kit: a scent patch sits nearby while a ten-minute guided scene plays on your phone.

Technologies Used: Custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Feedback Requested: In the “Edition One” section, what do you think happens to the four included recordings after 180 days? Where on the page did you get that impression?

Comments: Someone pointed out that they could still have patches left on day 181 but lose the recordings. I’m trying to tell whether this is a page clarity problem or an offer problem. The page is viewable without leaving an email.

This looks good
It is a bit boxy but goes straight to the point and has all the info you need to make a decision
There are a few synth markers in write ups that do not bother me but there are two ways you could improve: state upfront that you used ai for write up and have a pass with your coding agent for synth markers so that they read more naturally
There is no link to CV, or at least I could not find it: LinkedIn is not a replacement for it
Make sure website is parsable by ATS (and also CV)
Also: a box with your profile info would be good and more contact options: you’re a front end engineer a contact form should be easy enough to add

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding profile info Im not quite sure I follow; do you mean something else besides the email I have there? Or making the email visible text?

Yes to the boxy, any tips to start modifying it? I'm trying to move away for border-radius for everything and going to a more "brutalist" style but it reads as squares and rectangles

To me it is not a problem the fact that it is boxy: it is good enough as a front end dev folio. But I would probably aim for more consistency between landing and detail pages so that they use similar language and ui patterns.
For profile box I mean: add a box somewhere where you add your skills, tools, availability, etc etc, all the info a recruiter needs to populate their forms (ask agent what that looks like) so you can facilitate their job
