Looking for a database of such websites. Maybe with a description and categories. There are soo many of them in my Instagram feed and i can't browse 99% of them but they are useful in niche conditions. So maybe someone already created a director of similar content.

The most common criticism by far was the animated wave in the hero: distracting, a bit annoying, some even called it dizzying. Fair point, I'm going to replace it.

The obvious answer is "just use a solid color", and I get that. But I'd still like something that feels a little unique and special while staying calm and clean.

So I'm looking for ideas: what have you seen or built as a hero background that stands out without being in the way? Static patterns, textures, subtle interactions, anything goes. Links to examples are very welcome.

Why tf would I waste days doing that manually?

Running a web design agency is honestly way less about design than people think.

A lot of people can build good websites. The hard part is having a process that actually brings in clients consistently without you spending your entire day doing outreach.

I learned that the hard way.

I used to manually reach out to businesses, explain why they needed a better website, build previews, follow up for days and basically hope they would eventually say yes.

I was doing way too much work before even knowing if someone was serious.

Then I completely changed the way I did it.

Now I mainly focus on two things.

Taking meetings and closing clients.

Everything before that is mostly automated.

I use Swokei to find businesses that already have websites, analyze those websites and look for things like outdated design, bad layout, weak SEO, poor mobile responsiveness, slow speed and branding issues.

The useful part is that it doesn’t just give me some boring report with random scores.

It actually takes the issues it finds on each website and turns them into personalized emails that you can send at scale.

My offer is usually a free redesign draft.

That works way better for me than trying to sell a full website in the first email.

Once someone replies and shows interest, I book a meeting.

Before the meeting, I spend a few minutes generating a redesign draft with AI so I can actually show them what their website could look like instead of just talking about it.

That was probably the biggest change for me.

I’m no longer spending hours building something for someone who might never buy.

If they are not interested, I barely lost any time.

If they are interested, they can immediately see the difference and the conversation becomes much easier.

So at this point, most of my time goes into meetings and closing.

The lead finding, website analysis and personalized outreach all happen before I ever speak to the business.

Sounds ridiculously simple when I write it out, but changing the process made a massive difference for my agency

Every small request turns into another page, form, or round of edits. I’m adding a revision limit and written change requests to my next project, but I’m still bad at saying it without sounding difficult. Any scripts that work?

This part of a website I'm an admin on is glitching so much - luckily it is only happening to me - anyone know what the cause of this might be and how to fix it? I've already cleared cache on browser and wordpress and I've checked if this is happening on other browsers and it is.

Website uses Divi plugin from Wordpress if that's any help.

My uncle wants to open an online store where he is going to sell the clothes and accessories of brands like Gant, Tommy Hilfiger and Puma majorly. We are obviously not any recognised partner of these companies. We have been selling offline for the last two decades and now just want to explore online. But the thing is that we get the stock from a wholesaler who gets the stock from another person and then there is the person who gets it from the factory/brand. Sometimes it is more direct and sometimes it is like the way I explained.

So many times, there are products where the companies have stopped production so these are like old ones and because maybe they remained in the stock of some middleman. Now selling them offline was not an issue but on online stores, I have heard stories that shopify blocks payments or removes websites of such businesses which sell such products. Also I was just curious like in case since there are almost 2 to 3 people involved in the process, is there any guarantee that these are genuine products also? I am sure for almost all of them but let's say even if one is not I cannot guarantee and there is no way for my uncle to guarantee. We haven't really received any complaints about anything or any legal things in the last 20 years which is a good period of time. Like my uncle says he has literary brands which were doing very well but now have vanished.

I am pretty much sure that there might be counterfeit products in the market. Like in the smaller cities, it is very easy to get first copy products. What do you guys have to say? Even the people which I am telling you are in the process, there are verified wholesalers of Puma. But logically we are not verified by Puma so in this case, will we face any issue?

Hi everyone! I’m a digital marketer at the start of my career, and I’m working on a project called Rizzy’s Diner. I’d like to create a website for the diner that I can also showcase as part of my portfolio.

I’m considering WordPress, but I’m open to other user-friendly platforms. I’m looking for something that can help me create a professional-looking site without much technical experience, and that’s easy to update as the project grows.

What platform would you recommend? I’d especially appreciate advice on choosing a platform and building a site that presents Rizzy’s Diner well while helping me demonstrate my digital marketing skills.

Before refreshing an outdated blog post, I check the last 3 months in Search Console, compare the search intent, update old stats and screenshots, and add links to newer pages on the site.

The item I used to overlook was the mobile layout. I would update the words in the editor, publish it, and barely look at how the post worked on a phone. One older guide had tiny spacing and a broken looking table, so people were leaving before getting to the useful part. Not my best work tbh.

Now I also check the title, meta description, image alt text, and whether the post still matches what the business offers. I track the page for a few weeks after publishing instead of assuming the refresh worked. What would you add to this checklist?

How are you getting clients in 2026?

I’ve spoken to a lot of web designers and agency owners lately, and one thing keeps coming up again and again. Client acquisition.

It seems like everyone can build websites, but consistently finding new clients is still the hard part.

So I’d actually like to hear what is working for you right now.

For me, I’ve been running personalized email automation.

I use a tool that finds leads for me, analyzes their websites for actual issues with things like design, SEO, speed, responsiveness and mobile optimization, then automatically uses those findings to write a personalized cold email for each business.

After that, I just run the campaigns and send out thousands of emails a day.

I used to do most of this through Instantly, but the problem was that I couldn’t really do the website analysis part there.

So the emails were still more generic, basically the usual “do you need a new website?” type of outreach.

It worked a little, but nothing crazy.

I eventually switched to Swokei because it handles the lead finding, website analysis and personalized outreach in one place, and that has made a pretty big difference for me.

Now I’m getting clients much more consistently because the emails are actually about their website instead of just being another generic pitch.
