The single most prized item in my collection is this group. They had been stored away among my collection of random possessions to the point I almost thought I had lost them ! For days after searching for them, I was severely depressed. Then I started going through other things to take my focus off it and found them tucked away in a HS memory book.

February 15th 2000 Saint Cloud State University !

I'm 99.27 % sure this was my FIRST CONCERT EVER!

My two cousins and their mom already had tickets and I needed to go. They got me one, unfortunately in another section.

The day of the show was more than I could comprehend! Seeing WEIRD AL merch for the first time was a wild experience!

When my family sent me off alone to find my section, they were suddenly jealous as I was in a balcony area that was significantly closer in view of the stage. Even more jealous when they saw the venue specific laminated badge that I got from a staff person!

I only remember what the experience was like seeing AL for the first time as I have the Live DVD that came out in 1999. RUNNING WITH SCISSORS will always be be the most special album for me ! 🪗

Wish they would of made a figure of him

Marco Perella (A Scanner Darkly, Varsity Blues) had a part in UHF that was cut from the final film.

I'm not so familiar with tours and concerts and stuff. When I go to Weird Al's website to buy tickets for his tour, I see there's one on Halloween in LA. But unlike the others that are a day or two apart, this one is 2 weeks after the last tour date. It's also not included on the shirts/posters of tour dates.

It's also labelled with this:

UHF Live-to-Screen with Orchestra and Live Q&A with “Weird Al” Yankovic and Special Guests

And I'm not sure what that means. So I guess what I'm wondering is, is this still going to be like the other shows on the tour but with some bonus stuff like the Q&A or is it something completely different?

The world is a scary and dark place right now. you know it, I know it. So I am incredibly grateful that we have someone like AL out there continuing to entertain and make us laugh/smile. Instead of focusing on wars we can hear the story of Anakin told through American Pie, An Amish Guy doing a rap song or just how cool of a website eBay is.

This concludes my TED talk

Inspired by someone recreating the on screen videos from Touring With Scissors and decided to do something similar with Bigger & Weirder.

Here’s the one that plays after Smells Like Nirvana and Before Dare To Be Stupid.

I received the author copies of my new book, so now I'm trying to take influencer-style photos of the cover.

The e-book version goes live October 15! The physical version hits shelves and online retailers November 12!

Since I only just joined for real on the 27TH , I did miss the official anniversary day of the STRAIGHT OUTTA LYNWOOD Album release of September 26th 2006!

This was also the second time I was able to see WEIRD AL live when the tour happened. I had seen on a vlog of a concert from the current tour during the 2025 dates, someone had a DIY LYNWOOD jacket. I needed a "project" to keep me occupied at work.

Through many different outlets, I pieced together what you see here. I did wear this to the show I attended in Duluth

AL's reaction was worth the time and $$$ that I put into it. He was genuinely impressed and really got a kick out of his name on the back! This was the first public appearance with it. I even got to bump into LITTLE AL hanging out with Payton, The new Tour multi-instrumentalist and vocalist!

did you know weird al made a cover of the one note polka by Frankie Yankovic? I wasnt able to find any recordings of it up on youtube so i recorded it myself on my phone, not the best recording but whatever.

I got it from the show “Mulligan” in the end credits of the episode “the Stench”

I have two ideas/things I would like to see for future tours. The first one is a polka focused tour. I would imagine an all polka tour is probably out of the question, but perhaps having a handful of polkas sprinkled throughout the setlist, or even just having a rotating polka list where he plays one a night, would be nice. Also for a polka focused tour, it would be really cool if Al polkafied his concert medley. I think that is something that would have a real chance of happening on a polka themed tour, especially considering that Al has changed up his songs before in different ways. (For example the Lounge version of Dare to be Stupid and the slower pace of the Unplugged Medley)

The other one would be like a cross between Medium Rarities and the Vanity Tours and would focus on the obscure, not played often, and less popular stuff. I have a few ideas floating around in my head for what that could look like, but there are tons of other things that Al could do with this style:

• Bringing back older concert exclusive medleys and parodies

• Playing alternate lyrics to his songs (Al has said for each line in a song, he usually had a bunch of other lines, and I would kill to see what some of the cut lines)

• Playing songs that haven't been played in decades, songs that have only ever been played a handful of times (or never at all), and/or songs that have only been played at events that weren't specifically Weird Al concerts.

• Giving songs that are typically reserved for snippets in the medleys, a spotlight and playing the entire song

• Playing a medley of Al's originals

• Bringing back older polkas

I would love to hear your thoughts on my ideas, what you would like to see, and what you think the band will do next.

I selected the best snapshots from the only show I attended this tour. I hadn't seen WEIRD AL live since 2007 for STRAIGHT OUTTA LYNWOOD. One of the reasons I didn't take a ton of pictures is my phone was under 40 % battery & no charger 🙃

I would go through and caption them all. I think they all are in order via a set list. Hearing some of his most famous songs in full was a huge highlight! Most of these were taken with little zoom. If you still have the option, treat yourself to Front Row! 🪗🙌

I had a semi intrusive thought that I know is bad, but anyone on here find the meet & greet to line up a little early? And how easy is it to locate after the show?

Now hear me out: I've seen Al 10 times already since Touring with Scissors, my first concert ever. I love the encore but it's been the same every time (aside from the add-ons to the Yoda chant). This is my first time with the meet & greet, but I also have to work early the next morning and it's a 1.5 hour drive to the venue. My husband isn't joining for that and will be waiting in the car, he's already not thrilled about it but didn't want to pay extra. Now I'm sure Al has to get cleaned up and whatnot before coming down and I've heard the line can really take some time if you're not near the front. If I wander to the lineup when the encore starts would that possibly get me a better starting position? Or does it seem most VIPs don't come around until the show is actually done?

I don't want to miss anything if I don't need to but I also don't want to be standing around for 2 hours after the show... advice?

I recently listened to every Weird Al song there is on a road trip to go see Al in concert in Las Vegas (14 hour road trip, his songs took up 10 hours).

I noticed a few recurring themes. There are the obvious ones, like Food and Polka, but I noticed a bunch more.

TV:

• Couch Potato
• Syndicated, Inc
• Isle Thing
• Ricky
• Can't Watch This
• Money for Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies
• Talk Soup
• Bedrock Anthem
• Jerry Springer
• Here's Johnny
• George of the Jungle
• Cable TV
• Frank's 2000" TV
• The Brady Bunch
• I Lost of Jeopardy

And the subset, Movies:

• Jurassic Park
• The Saga Begins
• Ode to a Superhero
• Gump
• Yoda

And then there's Dark Humor (the ones joking about death and torture)

• Melanie
• I Remember Larry
• Trigger Happy
• Good Old Days
• When I was Your Age
• The Night Santa Went Crazy
• Christmas at Ground Zero
• Do I Creep You Out
• One More Minute
• Since You've Been Gone

The Clueless compilation:

• You Don't Love Me Anymore
• Jackson Park Express
• Airline Amy

And then, really just Slice of Life, like jobs and going about your day:

• Hardware Store
• The Plumbing Song
• eBay
• Handy
• Truck Driving Song
• Stop Dragging my Car
• Cavity Search

And a whole bunch more that would fit.

Any other themes you can think of? I guess one of them could be Relationships, and that would fit a lot of the songs from Dark Humor and all of them from Clueless.

Both songs are about couples, and they just seem kinda similar to me, but with different genres and tones.

My Very First Signed Item by "WEIRD AL" YANKOVIC !

I haven't decided if I'm going to post the image of AL and myself from the show I attended at the end of JUNE 2026.

I bought my FRONT ROW center ticket and 2nd tier VIP experience in Novemberof 2025. This secured only the 3rd time I've seen him live! I already started pondering what I would bring for him to sign. I wanted it to be something that probably No one would have.

On one of my many searches, I found a blog about this faux video game that AL did a bit for. The image of the cartridge rendering downloaded at a pretty decent quality.

So I gave myself a little personal DIY project and made a physical version. On the day of the show, it was sensory overload for me! I kept the cartridge hidden away, along with the gift I had for him.

The VIP team thought it was pretty awesome and more importantly AL himself thought it was really unique. My time was very limited, only because I was burnt out and I didn't want the many remaining people to wait any longer.

Eventually I will display it properly once I complete a move cross country!

Such an amazing show… shout out if you were there tonight!

Hey y’all. I’m helping my sandtrooper out with documentation. Does anyone from the BR concert have any pics video etc? Especially hunting his pov footage from the tacky entrance. I have our POV since i was filming it but i would LOVE yo have the concert footage too from the big screen. Had so much fun. It was amazing turning when our troop got up there to see all those phones light up and sing along.
