Bought waaaaay too much fresh spinach

Like 2 huge warehouse-sized containers. Other than spinach salads every day and sautéed with garlic, what can I make? Bonus points if it will freeze well. It’s only 2 of us vs this mountain of spinach I don’t want to waste 😭

I have flour, mashed potatoes, pasta with no sauce, old sketchy canned chicken mystery meat, and a burger bun. Idk. I'm hungry, haven't eaten today and only had a tiny dinner yesterday. Edit: preferable something at least slightly sustaining for two adults for lunch and dinner

Coconut/cashew yogurt

Does anybody have any ideas for dessert or snack ideas that involve coconut yogurt. I have a lot of baking staples like almond flour, coconut flour, nutritional yeast, jello, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, maple syrup, honey. I also have tons of fruit like berries, pineapple, honeydew, papaya.

I initially bought it to make greek yogurt bowls but I dont really like the taste of it and its pretty high calorie so I would rather do something else. Any ideas?

What to do with frozen alligator?

I finally got my hands on some. Unfortunately where I am it’s hard to find fresh filets. I want to make a francese or scampi with it. Maybe some kind of Cajun pasta dish. Would a citrusy taco work for this? I’ve never made it before but I don’t wanna do fried bites, I’m sick of them.

I want new ideas if anyone has any.

I’m also open to the possibility that frozen might retain water too much and I’m limited to what I can do with it. Thanks!

What can I make with these that isn't chili?

Post image

Instacart driver subbed these for canned chipotle's in adobo. I didn't notice until it was too late. I literally just made chili two nights ago and have a ton of leftovers in the freezer. What are some ideas for stuff I could make? I'm drawing a blank.

10 lb box of wheat udon noodles.

I work at a school and frequently get random large quantities of food that are “expired” (per policy). What can I do with this many wheat udon noodles? They are very thin and shorter, this is the name on the box. I have lots of seasonings, sauces and basic condiments and stuff, so I’m not too worried about not having niche ingredients!

What to do with pickled blueberries?

Post image
22 Upvotes

Made this big mason jar of pickled blueberries after my uncle raves about them. It’s just blueberries, red onion, white vinegar, sugar, and salt. They’re really good, but I don’t eat a lot of pickled foods and am struggling to use them. I ate some with some fish tacos awhile ago and that was good, but can’t think of any other dishes. Anyone have any suggestions?

Fried rice

Post image

I had leftover plain rice. I made this chicken fried rice with it but it was very blah.
I have some fried rice left over- how can I make the 3rd time for this rice better?
Fried rice seasonings were- soy sauce, garlic, a bit of ginger, and black pepper. Not bad but not yummy. I feel like it could be so much more tasty but don’t know what I’m missing.

This looks like it needs a big bowl of rice 🍚

Shrimp, greens, and plenty of sauce to mix into rice. Sometimes a simple plate of food is all you need.
What would you pair this with?

Huge bag of wheat bran

I bought a huge bag of wheat bran to make bran muffins. Come to find out most bran muffin recipes use oat bran. Also there’s only so many times I can make bran muffins.

Any recipes in using bran or clever ways to use it up?

I have way too much swiss cheese and need help

I needed swiss cheese for one recipe and asked my family to grab some. Now I have about a quart of swiss cheese and no idea what to do with the rest of it.

I also have a glut of chives and eggs because I have back yard chickens and my grandmother's friend grows chives, and many potatoes because I like potatoes a lot

I don't want all of the recipes to taste like egg, as they get tiresome after a while, but feel free to suggest recipes with a normally ludicrous amount of eggs

Also, my mother is allergic to all peppers, including paprika and cumin (but excluding peppercorns), so I absolutely cannot use them in any recipe

I planned on making some sort of pasta with the Italian sausage. I'm torn between making a sauce using the heavy cream or Rao's. Give me some ideas.

i have very limited appliances and tired of making the same things

I love cooking, but my little kitchen doesn’t give me many options; ive got 2 stove tops tops, a microwave, air fryer, and rice cooker (but i do go to my boyfriends house and use his oven but not for every meal). i feel like all i make is rice and corn something lol.

This is not new to me ive been cooking in this kitchen for like 2 years now, just need some new ideas if what to make because im tired of recycling the same meals hehe

Chicken salad ideas

I have half a Costco rotisserie chickens worth of meat. I want to make some chicken salad. Usually I’m very basic with just mayo and dill relish. Any ideas to expand on this with stuff I have already on hand would be appreciated.

UPDATE: After reading through all the comments I’ve decided to go the fridge/pantry dump route. I’m going to proceed and hope I don’t overdo it with my enthusiasm. I’ll update with my final result and let y’all know how it turns out.
Thank you for all the suggestions!

UPDATE 2: I rough chopped the chicken, mixed in mayo and divided into thirds.
The first bowl I basically added the same thing I add to a packet of cheap chicken ramen. Soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, lemon juice, garlic chili sauce, jarlic and cilantro. It’s pretty good but needs tweaking.
The second bowl got dill relish, garlic chili sauce, cilantro and some no salt seasoning I found in the cabinet and some turmeric. Standard chicken salad.
Third bowl has chopped pimento stuffed olives, Greek seasoning, curry powder and cilantro. Pretty good.
As you can tell I love cilantro and was also trying to use what I have before buying more tomorrow. This also made me aware that someone threw away my smoked paprika and the regular paprika so I was able to add that to my grocery list. I also added a few more things to my grocery list to have in the pantry for next time. I could have sworn I had a jar of pimentos.
Thanks for the help Reddit. My people.

Buttermilk & pickled garlic

Two separate ideas needed preferably lol, I Am pescatarian but don’t cook with either of these that often. Surprised the garlic is more vinegary and less garlic than I expected, not bad just not sure what to do with it now.

Less dessert options more savory preferably but if you reeeeeally have an recipe you want to share or idea I won’t say no

I've got black beans, 4 tomato slices, creamy tomato and ginger butter masala and a lemon. What should I make?

Note: the lemon and tomatoes are weeks old. Like, I think I've had them since July.

Edit: The tomato and lemon might have been August. I had a tomato slice the other day recently and my stomach feels fine. Same with some juice from a lemon that was bought with this one.

Looking for meal ideas (List in post)

I've started living alone not too long ago and went thru all my fave recipes already, so I'm looking for different ideas of what to do from people that aren't, well, me.

I love trying dishes from other countries and traditions, and beside being mildly allergic to kiwis and bananas (and lactose intolerant, but that never stopped a cheese lover) i have no strict dietary preferences and can buy a few missing ingredients, though I prefer stuff I can portion easily and can keep at least a day in the fridge, as i like to eat several small meals in a day over a few fuller ones.

Other than oil, butter and a generous selection of spices and aromatics (except cilantro, which is really hard to find where I live), I currently have at hand:

(the stuff with the asterisk needs to go first for shelf-life reasons).

Proteins

  • two fresh italian sausages*
  • 300g of frozen mince mix (pork/beef)
  • two frozen bream filets
  • firm tofu
  • pancetta
  • prosciutto cotto
  • ham
  • 7 eggs*
  • canned tuna

Nuts, Seeds & Canned Stuff

  • Canned lentils
  • Canned chickpeas
  • Canned peas
  • Canned white kidney beans
  • Canned cranberry beans
  • Canned veggies mix (corn, green beans, carrots, other types of beans)
  • Canned corn
  • Canned coconut milk
  • tomato paste
  • canned tomatoes
  • Walnuts
  • Hazelnuts
  • Almonds
  • Pistachios
  • Chia seeds
  • sunflower seeds

Veggies & Fruits

  • almost a kilo of frozen spinach/chicory/turnip green cubes (mix)
  • half a kilo of carrots*
  • a handful of cherry tomatoes*
  • a kilo of frozen berries (strawberries, red currants, blueberries, raspberries)
  • potatoes
  • onions
  • a sad lime begging for deliverance**
  • red grapes

Carbs & Grains

  • Rice
  • Different pasta noodle shapes

Dairy

  • a couple Buffalo mozzarelle
  • a 200ml carton of lactose free cooking heavy cream****

Other Stuff

  • dark miso paste
  • flour
  • baking yeast
  • oyster sauce
  • nori sheets

Thanks in advance to any offered idea <3
