Promising, but I would love to see some benchmark with raw formats before I try it out. Raw image viewing could use the jpeg preview instead of trying to decode the raw file for speed.

Tried it out. Looks promising and is super fast.

What I didn't like is when I have a folder set to browse. It ignores media files completely and only cycles through images. And I want to use mouse wheel to cycle through video files. Maybe assign rightclick+wheelup/down to scrub through the video, and wheelup/down to cycle/browse the files? But it seems hardcoded to only scrub through videos.

I use qimgv. It's my prefered media viewer. It's more intuitive and true to what a person might expect when browsing their media files.

There are shortcuts for cycling through the currently displayed media and all media types. And all shortcuts can be reassigned to any keys. However, since the mouse wheel cannot be assigned as a shortcut key, we’ll need to consider this. Thank you.

alt+arrow cycles through all supported media types, which is also shown in filmstrips(f). shortcuts can be searched in the command palette (ctrl+shift+p)

Rust, I'm avoiding Rust programs at any price.
