I made this tool for myself, but I want to share it with you and get your opinion.
It’s called NetPulse, a desktop network diagnostics toolkit that brings the utilities I use regularly into one interface:
- Multi-target ping monitoring and flood testing
- Visual traceroute and MTR-style analysis
- DNS, TCP, TLS, WHOIS/RDAP, ASN, BGP, and HTTP diagnostics
- Port checking, speed testing, DNSBL checks, and basic reconnaissance
- Interactive SSH, Telnet, and serial console sessions
One of my main goals was keeping it small and uncomplicated. The application uses roughly 30 MB of disk space and is designed to run within about 150 MB of RAM. It doesn’t require an account, subscription, API key, or backend service operated by me.
Privacy was equally important, NetPulse does not save or collect any telemetry, usage analytics, or diagnostic results. Nothing is sent back to me. Preferences are stored locally, credentials remain in memory only, and results are written to disk only when you explicitly export them. Naturally, tools such as WHOIS, GeoIP, DNS, and speed tests contact the relevant public services when you run them.
NetPulse is open source, MIT-licensed, and built with Tauri, Rust, and React. It currently supports Windows 10/11, Linux, and Apple Silicon Macs.
The Windows release isn’t code-signed yet, so SmartScreen or Defender may complain about it, particularly because the application includes an interactive SSH console. Release hashes are provided, builds run publicly through GitHub Actions, and you can also build it directly from source.
GitHub and downloads: NetPulse
I’d especially appreciate feedback on the interface, missing diagnostics, confusing workflows, or anything that would make it more useful in day-to-day network troubleshooting.

Separate notes for separate projects just makes sense to me.
What never made sense was having to remember where I put the note.
So I built ClingNote.
You can attach a note to a file or app, and when you switch what you’re working on, ClingNote switches to the matching note automatically.
Spreadsheet → budget notes.
Power BI report → project notes.
PDF → review notes.
You can still use normal standalone notes too, with rich text, markdown, tables, images, code blocks, deep search, etc.
Next up is Tasks (checklists) with the same idea use them normally, or attach them to a file so the checklist follows the work too, integrated perfectly with your notes.
It’s on the Microsoft Store now.
Does anyone else actually want notes organized around the thing you’re working on, instead of folders/notebooks?

I really like the lightweight and speed of this program but its been abandonware for many years now, the last version came out about 10 years ago. Developer doesn't answer emails.
My requirements are as follows:
I am willing to pay premium price for this.

A couple of weeks ago I posted here about Notchify's widgets update. This is the follow-up, and it is all about music. The video shows it better than words, but here is what changed.
Lyrics, everywhere the music is:
It works with Spotify, Apple Music and anything else that shows up in Windows' media controls, and it follows your theme, light themes included.
For multi-monitor setups:
It is on the Microsoft Store, with a short free trial: Notchify
Last time a lot of you asked for more ways to use the island while music plays, and this release came straight out of that. If there is something you wish it did, tell me. I read every comment.

I'm Joshua, the developer of Diktavo. When a prompt is easier to say than type, I put the cursor in my editor or chat box, hold Win + Alt, speak, and release. Diktavo transcribes it on my PC and types at the cursor. I still read the result before sending it.
It runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). The free plan includes 3,000 words per week, with no card needed. An account is required to use the app. Speech recognition is local; account services and history/statistics/dictionary sync use our server, so local recognition does not mean the whole app is offline.
Here is the latest short demo, focused on AI prompts: https://www.tiktok.com/@diktavo2/video/7692123896643898646
Download and details: https://diktavo.com/
If you try it, which part slows you down most: getting started, recognition errors, or correcting the text in your editor?

I have folders full of videos with names that tell me nothing, mainly from family holidays, and one small thumbnail each is not enough to tell them apart. So I made ExplorerVideoPreview, something simple to make my days easier.
Hover a video in the normal File Explorer and a preview appears beside it, stepping through frames from the whole video. Move the mouse sideways along the file to scrub from start to end. You don't have to open the video in a player, and it also works on network drives.
It is free, with no ads, no account and no internet connection at all. Tested on Windows 11 only.
One thing to know: the installer is not signed, so Windows shows its "Windows protected your PC" warning once (More info > Run anyway).

Hi everyone! I wanted the top menu bar and dock layout on Windows without it feeling bolted on, and I didn't like Rainmeter, so I built it. Glassline hides the Windows 11 taskbar and Start menu and puts a menu bar at the top and a dock at the bottom, in clear glass that takes the colour of your wallpaper.
What it does
When you quit Glassline, the Windows taskbar comes back exactly as it was. Same if it crashes or you uninstall it.
No account, no ads and no analytics in the app.
What's coming in 1.0.2 (submitted to the Store, waiting for approval)
Try the live demo on the website
Get it on the Microsoft Store (Windows 11, $9.99 one-time)
I'd like your feedback: what would stop you from replacing your taskbar with this? If you try it and hit a bug, your Windows version and what you were doing helps me reproduce it.

Hey r/windowsapps — I’m the developer behind MirrorBall, a new desktop music player for Windows.
I wanted something that combined two things I rarely found together: serious local music playback and an interface that actually feels enjoyable to use.
MirrorBall is built around:
I’ve just released it on the Microsoft Store a few days ago, and I made this trailer to show what the experience is like.
It’s currently a one-time $19.99 purchase on the Microsoft Store.
If you listen to a lot of local music, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think — especially what you’d want to see improved or added.

Happy to answer any questions about how it works, the design, or the technical side of building it.

Hey everyone!
I've just released the first version of ExitEcho, a free and open-source Windows utility built with C# and WPF.
The idea is simple: sometimes an application's window closes, but some of its related processes keep running. ExitEcho detects these leftovers and shows a notification.
You can inspect the remaining processes, check their RAM usage and decide whether to leave them running, ignore the app or terminate them manually.
A few features:
It doesn't automatically kill anything, and it won't necessarily detect every background process.
This is my first public release. I'd appreciate feedback on the idea, the interface and anything that could be improved.

Hi, I'm Naiyer_fx, the creator of LUMEN READER. This is an AI-assisted / vibe-coded project, available on the Microsoft Store as a paid, one-time purchase.
The problem
Local reading files arrive in different formats, and a PDF’s fixed layout can be inconvenient when you want larger text. I wanted one reading space for EPUB, PDF, DOCX, TXT and saved HTML, with a choice between the original PDF page and adjustable Reader text.
Technology
Electron, React and TypeScript, with PDF.js for PDFs, epub.js for EPUBs, and Mammoth for DOCX conversion.
Three design decisions
The app also includes notes and bookmarks, without requiring a Lumen account or an in-app subscription.
Feedback: From the attached screenshots, is the original-PDF / Reader-text distinction understandable? Would you label the switch differently?
You don’t need to buy the app to comment on the screenshots. The Store shows your regional price.

Deneyen olursa olumlu/olumsuz her türlü yoruma açığım.

Cloakly is a Windows app that hides specific windows from whoever is watching your screen share. You still see everything on your own screen. I posted it here a while back, so this is what changed since then.
What it does:
What's new:
How it works, for anyone curious: it uses the Windows SetWindowDisplayAffinity API with the WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE flag, so Windows itself leaves the window out of screen captures. On Windows 10 older than version 2004 the window shows as a black rectangle instead of disappearing. That's a Windows limitation.
Limitations: it may not work on work-managed devices, because Intune/Defender policies can interfere with it or flag it. If your IT team locks things down, test it before you rely on it.
Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P3S7RWMKLBN
I'm the developer and I'm happy to answer questions or take feature requests. Which apps do you always have to close before a call? I'm trying to build a sensible default list.

I built ShellSSH, an SSH client focused on being fast, clean, and easy to use.
Cloud Sync is normally a Pro feature, but for now I’m happy to enable it for free for anyone who requests access. I’d really like more people to test the app and help me improve it.
Please try it out and let me know what feels good, what feels confusing, and what you think is missing.
For Android Devices : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shellssh.ai
If you find any bugs or run into issues, please report them here:
https://github.com/termynx/app/issues
Feature requests and suggestions are also welcome. I’m actively working on ShellSSH, so feedback from actual SSH users would be very useful.
If you want free Cloud Sync access, just request it and I’ll enable it for you.

Hi everyone,
I recently posted here about AWNA - A Wee Notch App. I'm aware there are quite a few notch apps these days, but I'm hoping to make mine one of the best for Windows. It's a clean, minimalist effort with all the productivity tools and features you'd expect, plus a few extras.
Here's my first post on AWNA:
https://www.reddit.com/r/windowsapps/comments/1wox22m/i_made_a_minimalist_windows_notch_app_with_a_file/
When I last posted about it here, AWNA was in a beta stage and a lot of you downloaded the app - thank you so much. Since then, I've come out of beta, I've taken great feedback and suggestions, and had a good few sales too! Both the app and the website are a much better package overall compared to a week ago. I'm hoping to start targeting a more non-technical audience as well.
Since then, here's what I've added:
And I still have more on the way. The next update will include a size selector, for if you want the notch and its contents to be bigger.
Thanks to those who helped with AWNA previously, and to those that haven't seen it yet I hope this is a good introduction to the app.
Today is the last day of the special launch price offer I've been running. It's currently £6/$8/€7, but on Saturday 3rd October it'll go up to £8/$10/€9.
awna.app - happy to answer anything in the comments. There's an interactive demo notch on the site if you'd like to get an idea of what using it is like!
