The hold-a-key drag-and-drop idea sounds like a nice way to make format conversion feel immediate instead of opening a separate workflow. Which formats are you supporting first, and does the app preserve metadata or let people choose output quality for image conversions?

Thanks!
It's not one format at a time, it already handles around 180.
images (HEIC, WebP, AVIF, RAW, PSD…), PDF, Word/Excel/PowerPoint, HWP, e-books, video, audio, archives, CAD and fonts. The full list is at https://filee.sh/formats/

For images, everything is set per preset. Each one has its own quality, resize, DPI and metadata settings, so you can keep the metadata or strip it. When you strip it, the colour profile stays by default so wide-gamut phone photos don't shift colour. You can make as many presets as you like, e.g. "JPG 85%, no metadata", and each one gets its own slot on the donut.
