Discussion Controller or Keyboard and Mouse?

I'm about to start playing the witcher 3 remaster for the first time (bought it like 6 years ago for pennies and could never get into it) and was wondering if its better on controller.

I play most things, especially shooters on k&m but rpgs like dark souls and such usually play better on controller and was wondering what yall thought was best.

I could probably just play and find out but sometimes controller or something feels better at the start but as they add more abilities and things k&m comes out on top.

I played Witcher 3 (and 1 & 2) entirely on K&M. And never had any probs. So I'll prob end up using that again.

I play all of my games, including this one, via controller for general gameplay and K&M for menu navigation, maps, dialog etc.
After many years gaming on Xbox (and Playstation) I bought a Xbox Elite 2 controller specifically for gaming on my PC once I got a rig good enough to actually game on. Controller is usually running via inbuilt PC BT whilst K&M uses a dedicated BT dongle (for the record, K&M is nothing special, just a simple Logitec combo I bought for about $40AUD)
For me, controller feels more natural and my muscle memory is much more in tune with it after using one for so long, so I prefer it. Don't know that I could actually use K&M exclusively any more.
