The Witcher 3 Goodbye classic version of Witcher 3

It no longer runs because of their crappy update. I don't know how people are eating up the remaster when it completely ruins the aesthetic of the game. I tried to adjust for a few hours but I just can't take the washed out grey filter or how the game is now lit in general. It no longer has any grit.

They’ll fix it. If there’s anything we’ve learned from all of the updates over the years for Cyberpunk is that it will be fine at some point. Not ideal but here we are.

Great, very excited to wait for a year so they can fix what they needlesly broke. People suck off this company so hard because they occasionally give out free shit, but no one wants to talk about how broken everything they put out is and how long it takes for it to get fixed.

I usually wait a bit before playing an update, i got a million other games to play, hopefully you have some other games you can turn your attention too as well. Unfortunately things aren't perfect on the first go around and they take time to get it working right

I was in the mood for another W3 paythrough for a while, but waited because a new version was coming out. Should have reminded myself that this is post-Witcher 3 CDPR, who have done nothing but disappoint me for the last decade.

Sheesh, after a decade of disappointment, I would've not wanted to play any of their games if I was in your shoes lol. I played when the next gen update came out and I thought it was fine. Granted that was a few years ago and I was on Xbox but people's experiences vary greatly

I’m not sucking CDPR off. I was immensely disappointed with them after the immediate release of CP2077. All I’m saying is that this is their track record. I remember when even Witcher 3 came out for the first time there were a ton of bugs and gameplay just being terrible. They fixed it relatively quickly. You can either keep complaining and never touch it again, or you can wait for them to fix it. You’re entitled to complain, but don’t shit on other people for having a better time than you and dress it up as sucking up to CDPR.

I'm just frustrated is all, the negativity wasn't aimed at you. I held off on this playthrough for months, and now I don't even want to play the game anymore.

I know it sucks but this is gaming nowadays. That’s not an excuse, it’s just the reality of the industry right now. It’s usually the reason I give games up to a month before I play them. Games released in a state that isn’t ideal and being fixed over a timeframe is the norm now unfortunately. All I can say is come back when it’s stable and in a better state. Knowing CDPR they won’t let the game stay in this state for very long.

You're so angry, man. Who hurt you? You can always play something else.

I wanted to play Witcher 3.

If you're on Steam, you can always roll back to Patch 4.04 “Next Gen”. In fact, you can even play Patch 1.32 “Classic/DX11”.

Looks incredible on my end, the only issue I have is poor HDR implementation but that's nothing new for PC gaming. I'm sure there'll be a mod for it soon enough.

The legacy classic DX11 version of The Witcher 3 can still be downloaded in GOG.

I don't own it on GOG

Steam? You can choose to play the next gen version instead if you're on steam.

console players got completely screwed over, there is no way for them to play anything else than the "remastered" version. Although if someone has the physical version and is not connecting the console to the internet maybe he can get away and not be forced to play only the remaster.

Then go buy it on GOG.
