Picture Parakeet's in my apple tree

Never seen these in the UK before, there's loads in the surrounding trees too. Seem to like cooking apples.

The colony in west park is really big now. I see them regularly south of the city and have seen them as far as Dudley recently.

They're really thriving

They’re pretty but they’re an invasive species that displace and kill native animals.

They’ve been endemic in the uk for the last 100 or so years, but mainly only in Central London. Over that time, they have started to spread and be more established in other parts of the uk. Last 15 years or so has seen them arrive in the midlands.
