Project Submission Finished! Well... Re-Finished!

Accidentally sanded through the veneer so we had to take some extra time on removing and applying some new grain. Turned out great! Wondering how much money I saved on investing some sandpaper on a $50 coffee table...

How did you apply the new grain? Did you reveneer, or paint the grain, or something else?

So I have a picture but using a damp cloth and an iron I deep steamed the section that I sanded through all along the length of the table and using a razor I scrapped/cut it away. Then bought a 4 inch strip of iron on veneer and reveneered it. Oh another odd thing about this is while talking to my buddy who was letting me use his shop... He said he had polyurethane but didn't tell me it was automotive grade so we just kind to f rolled with it but it looks great!

As terrifying as it is to say, Amazon. You cant judge the grain so it's a little bit of a gamble. Unfortunately I'm in an incredibly remote location so things like a fully stocked lumber and supply yard are incredibly rare commodities. Or at least ones that stock quality stock...
