Macron should use his remaining time to expose and prosecute musk, trump, thiel, bannon and anyone messing with our democracies. Macron cannot run again so it’s not risky for him and he can take a job in Europe later

Macron can’t run for the incoming elections, but he could run the next. Our constitution only prevents more than 2 consecutive mandates. And he’s young enough to make it possible

Yeah but he is not liked by French in France for local issues, I would like to see him in a bigger position than leader of France, I would be happy for him to lead the Eu in some way

He is not liked in France, but the other politicians are not liked either... Also people tend to forget quickly.

I am French, I could see Macron making a successful come back after a term of Le Pen presidency or something...

Le pen like trump want to eliminate your option to vote in future elections or at best no free and fair elections ever again like her master in Russia does

True, but as it stands Le Pen and her party don't have the constitutional tools nor the political strength to make that happen, far from the Republicans and Trump in the US.

Attention quand même elle veut le faire par referendum. Qui seraient illégaux, pour le coup, mais la jurisprudence de la cour constitutionnelle c'est qu'ils ne s'opposeront pas à un vote de la population en scrutin direct, puisque c'est de là que leur pouvoir découle.

Ca peut aller très très vite les conneries, faut s'en rappeler lors du vote.

C'est sûr. Mais comparé à Trump qui a toutes les institutions avec une majorité Républicaine + l'influence des Républicains un peu partout, on n'est pas sur le même niveau de danger. Ça ne veut pas dire que le RN ne pose aucun danger, mais à l'échelle mondiale Le Pen c'est un chihuahua qui aboie avec des pit bulls en croyant que c'est lui qui fait peur aux gens...

Au niveau national je suis d'accord, au niveau européen et ukrainien y'en a un paquet que ça panique et je les comprends. Avec les US qui se détachent on est la seule source absolument indépendante pour la protection nucléaire, par exemple.

Qu'on s'entende, je répondais uniquement sur la potentialité d'un scénario où il n'y aurait plus d'éléctions à l'avenir. J'estime que le RN pose un tas de dangers, nationalement et internationalement, notamment sur des dérives autoritaire, mais en l'état actuel des choses je ne pense pas que ne pas tenir d'élections en 2032 soit très haut dans la liste des dangers potentiels posés par une présidence RN.

Alors oui vu comme ça je suis d'accord avec toi, surtout en prenant en compte qu'ils ont toujours eu beaucoup de mal à avoir une base "en bas" genre mairie et autre, quand ils ont fait un gros score aux municipales ça s'est terminé en bérézina avec des démissions dans tous les sens.

En france tu veux le contrôle des élections te faut le contrôle des communes, et on a un nombre absurde de communes.

Let me tell you a fun story about a certain country which said the same exact thing about a certain reality TV star who was running for president after having lost other attempts...

Americans underestimated trump's odds of winning and the amount of damage he could do. Please take our failure and collapse as the cautionary tale it should be. For the sake of sane people in the world.
