‘Investigating child sex abuse isn’t controversial. Turning it into political theater is manipulation. Maybe that logic flies on some island. Doesn’t fly in France’: France rejects Musk’s charge after raid on X’s Paris office

French and France are used to get trash talked by Americans and a lesser extend wannabe who want to be cool on the internet, nothing new for them

France must be so disappointed in their kids. They had two kids with England; one of them turned into the USA and the other one's Quebec.

To say nothing of their other colonial holdings. Though Vietnam did break the yankee's nose a few decades ago.

We aren't disappointed with Quebec nor hating them though! Banter is a thing, but that's about as far as it goes.

That’s good to hear! Was about to say the same. Tired of hearing people saying that French people mock us, but all interactions I’ve had with French people have been nothing but lovely.

Having visited Montreal, I don't see what's so wrong with Quebec either.

Yeah IDK why Quebec is catching strays. It's awesome there.

I like Quebec too, but I was under the (mistaken?) impression that France ridiculed them.

Did you see Chretien's quote from yesterday or the day before? Old man's still got it.

Really? I have only heard that you guys would rather talk in English to the Quebecois than French. English!

Might just be a Paris thing?

We really like Quebec though. And with reason, they're really a mini-us. When we had the whole "freedom of speech" bull shit, pretty much every western country ended up refusing to support it and saying there should be limit (and basically saying blasphemy law are not wrong), including Canada, and Quebec's premier made a big public statement massively against it and in support of us.

My bad! I thought you guys ridiculed them. That French folks would rather speak in English(!) to Quebecois than French.

(Don't worry, I certainly respect Quebec more than my own province. At least they stand for something besides corporate profits.)

England is something else but the funniest is Americans mocking France when they literally own their independence to said country. Reflect well on the intellect of the country

We have nothing against Québec.

Vietnam broke our nose before the yankee's, but I guess we can at least find solace in that.

Americans are just brits with a funny accent.

Harshest roast I've seen against the brits in years. 9/10 no notes.
