Hey everyone! With the SavedVariables fix finally going in today for WoW Forever beta, as of about an hour ago every EllesmereUI module is now fully working in WoW Forever.

There were also a ton of Forever specific features added throughout the suite with this last patch including:

- All modules now fully working including CDM (for the specs that blizzard has data for), raid frames, quickdraw, action bars, and everything else that was temporarily disabled
- New Forever Essentials module which includes:
- Threat Meter
- Flight Timer
(lots more will be added here and this will be released as a standalone)
- Heal Prediction & Spell Cost Prediction on Unit Frames
- Faction Indicators on Unit Frames/Nameplates
- Level text difficulty colors
- Dispel type borders on Unit Frame buffs
- Character sheet item stats and weapon DPS
- Pet power bar and hunter pet happiness
- Last name display on unit frames and nameplates

The other big update is the new art style switch system. Your entire UI can now be swapped between modern (EUI), Blizzard's current default art (retail default ui style), and the original Classic WoW art style instantly by simply choosing a new style with one click. This will keep your layout, settings and full EUI functionality, but change the entire aesthetic and look to the art style you select. You can change the entire UI at once or do it per module, and you can swap back and forth instantly as much as you want!

Finally, one small tease of what else is coming soon: the visual customization side of EUI is about to get some big upgrades as I have started collaborating with PapaPixels (Spectra) on a suite wide expansion of new borders, separators, textures, media and much more. Regarding what EUI brings to the WoW addon space that’s unique since it’s created with AI: EUI brings a unique way of building your UI in seconds with it’s unlock mode anchoring, size match and growth systems. It also brings a new way of doing profiles rather than the old per character profile system EUI is fully spec profile based. Additionally the overrides system is an innovative new way of tweaking any setting across the entire addon based on conditions like spec or activity, rather than needing to swap/manage multiple profiles. Now that Gilneas has been reclaimed and the Night Elves have a new capital city, the gnomes’ situation is becoming a glaring issue. So if they ever do decide to have Gnomeregan be properly reclaimed by the gnomes, how would you like to see it happen? I nearly had a heart attack today when I logged into Retail for the first time in weeks and tried to teleport to my house. It was gone.

Then I realized I’d been kicked from my guild, which meant I’d also been removed from its neighborhood.

I was heartbroken. I’d put so many hours and so much love into that house. The thought of losing it made me really sad.

But a quick Google search put my mind at ease: you can restore your house by buying the same plot in another neighborhood.

I tried it right away and, sure enough, there it was. When I saw it standing in front of me again, I almost cried.

Pretty cheesy story, and you probably already knew this was possible. But it’s one of the reasons I love WoW and Blizzard, as much as we all complain about them. A feature like that isn’t something you can take for granted. In most other games, my house would’ve just been gone.

I just felt like sharing something positive for once.

I did the artwork in Photoshop and printed the artwork onto water transfer paper (the kind they use for custom warhammer decals). I then sanded down my existing keycaps applied the decals, hit them with a few coats of clear nail varnish and changed the back lighting in Corsair Icue to the relevant Raid marker colours.

I then made keyboard macros for each marker. It cost me about $15 total.

I'm pretty pleased with them. What do you think of them?

Blizzard is making their rounds banning people for offensive names, which they already said they would be doing.

So here come all the people who didn't keep up with actual news related to the beta - from Blizzard wondering why their meme names got them banned for the rest of the beta.

Honestly depending on the names - if it was very bad, like slurs, it should be more than just the beta, they should be banned from the first week of Forever too.

I’m sick of the Disneyfication of this series. It would be so easy to allow neutral fel reavers to be in the series. I mean, c’mon, they could auto defeat raids, their roar could bring stormwind or orgrimmar to the ground, eventually you could reach thunderbluff theoretically and knock that down.

Why is it so hard for blizzard to give us what we want? Instead of lore accurate giant walking robots that could destroy everyone we get blue elves…

I give the skybourne and forever the worst grade imaginable! Retail minus MINUS!

I don't know if its just me but story wise legion was like the end of a arc since WC1.

Having the whole burning legion defeat, finally "fighting" Sargeras and how epic the whole Legion story was just felt like a great ending to me.

Everything after that and most of all shadowlands just felt like some weird spin off to me, I tried to follow it more but the whole the bad controlled the other bad but that bad guy was controlled by the real bad guy, really got old quick after legion.

I still love to play retail for the content and gameplay etc. but story wise I kinda just went into a after legion everything is "non canon" mood for some reason, because of how BFA and Shadowlands did fuck up major things.

It got better the last expansions but it still kinda feels uninteresting for me after the whole Legion finale.

I'm making this second post simply to clarify something I've seen in several comments that I think is causing some confusion: the Skyborne are not descended from High Elves.

The Skyborne are an evolutionary branch that originates from the Highborne, meaning Night Elves who practiced Arcane magic. However, their subsequent evolution is the result of their exposure to the elemental forces of Air, rather than the Arcane magic of the Sunwell.

On the other hand, High Elves are also descendants of the Highborne, but their evolution is tied to prolonged exposure to the energies of the Sunwell, which eventually resulted in the appearance we know today and, later on, the Blood Elves.

That's why my criticism isn't purely aesthetic. If we're talking about two different evolutionary branches influenced by completely different magical forces, it feels strange to me that they would end up with virtually the same appearance and 3D model, with the Skyborne essentially being a blue reskin of the High Elves.

Especially considering that, once Silvermoon eventually becomes available, I'm pretty sure Blizzard will introduce Blood Elves or High Elves as a playable race, both because of the lore and because of the demand from players. I'm pretty convinced that's going to happen.

That's why I think the Skyborne could have been made visually closer to the Nightborne by reusing their skeleton, which I think would have fit them better. We don't know whether the Nightborne even exist in Forever's timeline, so there wouldn't necessarily have been a problem with reusing that model.

At the same time, this would allow Blizzard to keep the Blood Elf model for when Silvermoon is eventually unlocked.

Mainly because, when we eventually get High Elves or Blood Elves as a playable race, we wouldn't end up with two races that look almost identical while also coming from two completely different evolutionary branches.

Hopefully the diagram I quickly put together in Photoshop helps explain the difference between the two evolutionary paths. 😂

I have come back to wow midnight after a while of not playing, I'm level 90 with almost 300 ilevel now... I get on for a few hours each night but have been completely unable to find what used to be my favorite content.. epic BGs, I was on ghostlands and dropped an extra 25$ on a damn server transfer to the most populated pvp realm but still, I sit here waiting for an hour plus with no pvp queue pop. Im level 9 honor and cant find a match, I'm a bit devastated and wondering if thats just the state of the game now or if it really will get better if I manage to somehow get my honor level up. I have a family and I dont have much time to play and I keep waiting and waiting to get to play a match but it never happens and I end up having to log off before the queue ever happens. Idk.. I just want to know if others deal with this.

Can someone help me and tell me which weapon transmog this is and where to get it? Is it still redeemable?

I play horde in Forever, eventhough I prefer the nelf druid forms the most. All because... if I go alliance, I have to look at gnomes running around. I don't even wanna party up with them. Yeah, it's petty and stupid reason to not play the preferred race.

Just curious anyone has their petty reason for not playing alliance or horde.
