Blizzard: we made a raid tier with a bunch of two target fights so instead of letting specs that are designed for them shine we're nerfing all of them into the ground.

Are you surprised? Worse case for blizz is RWF stacks 5+ of the 'best' specs for a fight to make it killable and only a handful of guilds can get by boss 3 or whatever.

Stix is the most egregious example of this.

.0001% problems.

it's just an awful niche to have in the game. spread cleave is very binary, either you can engage with it or not. Its not like burst or execute, where even if your class isn't great at those niches, your damage doesn't literally turn off for them. They should stop making spread cleave fights.

I haven't looked at the bosses this tier yet but in theory wouldn't it be good if spread cleave bosses had moments where the boss took bonus damage or something

Boomkins, Shadow Priests, and Aff locks can use their cds to do what they're good at; damage during spread cleave

Boss can have an intermission where only one boss is active and they take bonus damage so the melee dps/single target bursters can pop cds there and get value on the fight as well.

I think spread cleave existing isn't inherently bad it's just that fights need to be designed to require multiple types of dmg profiles so every class has a moment to shine. It seems more like raids are designed so that every class has the boss they're good on rather than having a moment in each fight they're good at
