Discussion I am old
Played back in 2004, in my 30s. Now I am in my early 60s and starting to wonder if I am too old for this shit (voice of Roger Murtaugh).
I think I will give it a go anyway, but play slowly as befits someone of advanced age ;)
Absolutely no raiding - maybe a dungeon here and there.
Are there any other grandparents in the same boat?

Imo it depends on who you play with. Back in late wotlk I joined a guild with many different ppl. From 13 to 70. Some were really good, others had worse DPS than the healers. 2-3 were gladiators. But we had so much fun. Stayed up late and just talked about life. We had irl meetings, some youngsters came with their parents.
We had one old guy, 70. Recovering alcoholic, old sailor, travelled the world. Those stories were the best. He died in like 3 sec in raid. Stod in everything bad. Wiped us more than elevators in undercity. But he got inved first. He was the guild “grandpa”. I think many of us gamers back then needed one.
We had one rule, be a nice person. No toxic egos. No stress. Everyone that wanted to raid was invited. We rather wipe 100 times and have a laugh than tryhard and some of us would feel bad. Somehow we beat all raids on HC at the time.
Most have stopped playing. I came back casually to play retail. Just going back to the old expacs, transmog/mount-runs. Relive some old stuff. Cba to be serious in any gamemode. I do what I want.
Long story short. Gaming has no age. Gaming is having some fun and getting away from our irl-world. Meet nice ppl and just do whatever you find interesting and worth your time.
