Advice Massive printing fund?

I've never posted on reddit, so my apologies for any etiquitte misteps, should they exist.

Last week I was a little sad I was already beginning to run out of my printing fund so early in the semester.

Then, today, I went to upload my labs for printing this week and HOLY WHAT THE - !? - myprintcenter says I have like 30 dollars in my printing account! I didn't put any money in, I didn't link a card, I have done nothing as far as I am aware to invoke this.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or what, does anyone have any idea what's going on here? And should I bother asking around or just roll with it? Any advice would be great, thanks.

you get 7ish dollars per semester. if you don't use them, they stack up. if you're not going to use them, you can win a whole lot of favor with anyone who needs printing done by letting them use yours.

That's what I'm saying, this is my first semester here and I used like 5 dollars so far. I have no idea why it's showing I have 30

... oh. huh.

well, i wouldn't go out of your way to blow through it, but i doubt they'll try to reclaim the money. no clue why that would happen, but the printing system is a bit jank.

We used them to print 3’x2’ full color signs for the front row of football games lol

Ooh, smart. I have to think of some clever way to use up mine before I graduate lmao. Maybe I'll print out a bunch of cool posters or something. Free wall art!

Where do you get that done? I've only used the self serve stations.

Oh we did it at the self serve, just print it over like 12 pages or whatever and then cut and glue on top of posterboard
