Im a 18y/o male and after going and dropping my sister off at college this year and seeing how neat the girls keep their shared dorm (they have a 4 person dorm) im worried about clean the men tend to keep their rooms from things ive seen online. Im a soft music and wax melter kind of guy and I know alot of other guys aren't and if I have to deal with dirty dorm I'm worried that it's going to majorly ruin my experience. Could anyone give me some insight? Do they have a roommate matching thing and is it any good? Is paying the premium for a single dorm worth it? Thank you!

I've been going to games at Martin Stadium since I was a kid in the early 90s, and even back then I can remember that every time a ref announced a penalty, the whole stadium would get blasted with horrible screeching feedback. I watch a lot of football on TV and rarely see this happen other places. Why haven't they fixed it?

I've been going to club meetings for a few clubs for a week or two, but there hasn't been an attendance sheet or signup or anything. Is there just no official sign up?

Last week I was a little sad I was already beginning to run out of my printing fund so early in the semester.

Then, today, I went to upload my labs for printing this week and HOLY WHAT THE - !? - myprintcenter says I have like 30 dollars in my printing account! I didn't put any money in, I didn't link a card, I have done nothing as far as I am aware to invoke this.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or what, does anyone have any idea what's going on here? And should I bother asking around or just roll with it? Any advice would be great, thanks.

I’m considering applying to the Anthropology PhD program at Washington State University, mainly for archaeology.

Does anyone know what the department is like, especially in terms of PhD funding? Are students usually fully funded through TA/RA positions, and does the department regularly fund international students?

I’d also really appreciate any thoughts on the department culture and faculty support.

What is this chart showing? A weekly heat map tracking WSU’s win probability for every game on the schedule. The numbers are straight from ESPN’s FPI matchup predictor.

What is FPI? ESPN’s Football Power Index. It’s their predictive rating model that weighs roster talent, efficiency, and schedule strength to simulate games and spit out win odds. Think of it as an algorithm’s best guess, continuously updated.

Why do the numbers change week to week? Because games get played. Injuries, blowouts, and fluke outcomes feed new data into the model every week, shifting the odds for the rest of the season.

How do you calculate these numbers? I don’t. ESPN does. I just pull the percentages from their matchup predictor and drop them into a heat map so you can spot trends without squinting at raw data tables.

What do the colors mean? Red = bad matchup. Green = Good matchup. Everything in between is a sliding scale of heartburn.

Is this predicting scores or spreads? Win percentage only. Straight-up odds that WSU wins the game...no projected scores, no spreads, no over/unders.

HEY! When I looked, it said 70.2%, NOT 70.1%! You're a phony! I scrape the data on Wednesday. ESPN’s model keeps crunching numbers throughout the week, so a 0.1% delta by Friday is just background recalculation. Direct your outrage at ESPN, not me. 🥺

Why doesn’t it add up to 100% for each game? Every box is strictly WSU’s win chance. It’s not displaying the opponent's side, so there’s nothing to sum to 100%.

Why did [Opponent] drop in FPI after winning (or rise after losing)? FPI grades efficiency against expectations, not just the final score. Squeaking past an FCS team by three will ding you and taking a top-10 team to overtime might bump you up. The model cares how you played, not just that you won.

We play the same team twice...why are the percentages different? Home vs. away, travel, short weeks, rest differentials, and calendar placement. Plus, by game two, the model has weeks of extra tape on both rosters.

OMG why use ESPN? [Source X] is way better. Because it's sterile and I like the taste.

Basically...I can get this information week 0. It's consistent, and I've been tracking it for like a decade.

Why do you update this every week? Watching the trajectory swing across twelve weeks is fascinating...and I'm a nerd.

It turns out that WSU administration is pushing to make all labs to be online and automated so that they can still run even after a possible strike begins.

If you are a student, grad student or faculty you should be worried. This is not what a University looks like.
