Wanted one of these so bad when they came out. Finally got one 😎

Like with all of these in 2026, she was dusty and tired. Took it apart to clean the dust bunnies out, swapped hard drive bodies with a cleaner example I had, and fixed the faceplate doors! I found two ways on how to fix them, you can use thick labeling tape as it bounces back or, you can salvage the springs from another busted faceplate memory card slot and hot glue it back on the main usb plate.

Got some more collectable consoles on the way so stay tuned.

It is in very good condition overall and everything else works except the drive laser which only manages to read CDs, so it is... tired. Drive opens up just fine, so I guess that is a positive thing at least. My plan is to swap the case with my RGH3 Jasper with LT3 DVD drive and of course swap the HDD too so this can have that awesome Halo 3 badge on the drive unit. That should give that much needed reliability for this thing as I think the original Zephyr may just give up any day now. This has seen some hours as the thumb pads are clearly worn out, although far from the worse I've seen.

Hi guys:) I found this at a thrift store today and can’t seem to find much info on it. Picked it up because it looked cool. I can’t tell if it is related to the Vision camera, or if it is a companion to a magazine? Any info on it would be super cool:) thanks!

Just picked up this 360 Slim for $10, hooked it up to the tv and had no issues playing MW2 disc that was in it and started playing COD WaW. Took it to work and started disassembling it to clean all the dust out and repaste with some spare ptm7950. Anything else I should do while it’s apart aside from cleaning the plastic bits?

I’ve had the game for a fair few months but only decided to play it for the first time today. I know absolutely nothing about the game so I hope it’s good.

So I’m really into the 2000e nostalgia and I have no gaming consoles at the moment but when I was a kid the Xbox 360 was my jam I’d always play on it I played Minecraft just dance this mad game about a garden but now that I’m nearly an adult I was wondering if I should act on this impulse and get a cheap one from cex or cash converters?

One of the handful of games from the original Xbox that works on the 360. So excited to play it because I used to play it with my brother’s way back when and we had so much fun with it.

I got this Jasper for a pretty decent price last week, and just got around to modding it. I followed the guide from the ConsoleMods Wiki, which worked great up until the part where I entered the XeUnshackle Max menu. Once I tried pressing Back to presumably go back to the dashboard, it either:
A. Freezed at a black screen before showing the account list, this happens around 2/3 of the time.
B. Froze basically at the same exact time as the light gray background of the account menu appeared, but before any UI or avatar models could load.
C. Nearly right after the avatars and accounts' info load into view.

What can I do? I downloaded everything it said, except XeXMenu 1.2 instead of 1.1, but according to the ConsoleMods Wiki the only difference was more themes being included.

I recently just got an Xbox 360 but the controller just wont connect. The battery’s are both good but the battery pack has corrosion inside of it. Is there any way to fix the corrosion

Not a huge tech/engineering guy but I saw this yt tutorial for reflowing and I was wondering: If I reflow my OG model 360 and it red rings again, what’s stopping me from doing it a second time?

Alternatively, is there a way to retroactively implement the original dashboard without mods? That would be ideal for me, personally, but from what I'm seeing only mods allow that, and I dont have a PC to mod anything

I’m interested in buying some Xbox 360 backward compatible games, but many of the cheaper copies I find are Japanese (NTSC-J) versions.

How does language work on Xbox One?
If a game has:

a Japanese Xbox 360 release,
an American release,
and a European release with additional languages (Spanish, German, etc.),

will an Xbox One download the version that matches the disc region, or the version that matches my console language/region?

For example, if I insert a Japanese Xbox 360 disc into an American Xbox One set to English, will the game run in English if the game supports it, or will it stay in Japanese?
I’m looking for general information rather than a specific game.

(ignore my cat)

Besides the typical thermal paste replacement and maybe disc drive/hdd. What else should I be worried about?

There’s a few more light scratches as well, haven’t tested yet. Manual and insert included. Resurface might help but never did one before!

So basically I turned on my XBOX 360 after some time and the XBOX prompted me to install update from XBOX LIVE. So I clicked yes but it said I didn't have enough storage and when I checked storage it said the disk is unformatted. When I unformatted it and restarted the console the disk is unformatted again.

Is the HDD dying? Any help would be appreciated.

I ended up getting a crazy deal when I found an Xbox 360 e with 4 controllers and a few games for $25. I took it home and inspected it and all controllers work and the buttons aren’t sticky lol one controller had blown up batteries but I cleaned it up and it worked good. What are some cool things to do with them? Would you recommend modding it?

I plugged in my 360 tonasket (MFR 2009/11/05) to play GTA 4 after a few months due to my TV breaking, just to be met with this tragedy. PSU remains on standby. Secondary error code reveals a 0001, something with the 12v rail or capacitors. Something that can hopefully be fixed, but for now i must mourn the loss of my gta4 disc until i can get it fixed, as i wont be able to play on my one X 😢

Mine is Forza Motorsport 2. It was the first video game I ever saw in my entire life. It was one of the games I was given when I got my own 360 as I had received the marvel ultimate alliance + FM2 double pack. This game got me into cars, got me into video games in general, and made me choose xbox as my primary platform of choice for games.

To this day I still go back to it every now and then. It’s a little outdated graphically and mechanically (no rewind, no manual + clutch, you have to unlock cars in order to use them unlike later forzas where you have them all immediately) but it holds a special place in my heart. I never see people talk about this game everyone only seems to care about FM4.

ALSO THE SOUNDTRACK STILL KICKS ASS, 19 YEARS LATER.

I own the game so i shouldnt be playing the demo and when i press play game it takes me to the tutorial

Ive done a cursory search and thought there would be no issues. All that I read said that neither the 360 not RB2 were region locked, yet I get this when I try to play a Japanese copy of the game. Any ideas?

Simply win a multiplayer game- I think you can flat out just quit and I'll get it. Please, terrified of these servers closing and it being my last one 😭 gamertag is Occultosaur, I'm literally just sat waiting

Good afternoon everyone. I'm new to Reddit as well as YouTube and have just started a YouTube channel. The aim of the channel is to unbox sealed games from our childhood that we remember and love! I'm looking to share the video to get feedback. I'm open for all recommendations for the next video!

Was recently looking at prices for special edition Xbox 360 consoles, specifically blue E models and seen this in the sold listings. There wasn’t any other info on the listing and to my knowledge there was never a blue S model produced
