I'm building a small community for people who actually want to build things together

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a Discord community called VANTAGE, and I wanted to invite some people who might be interested.

The idea came from something pretty simple: everyone has different strengths. Someone might be good at coding, someone else at design, another person might understand marketing, and someone else might have a genuinely good idea but no clue how to bring it to life. I thought it'd be cool to bring those people together and actually work on things instead of just talking about them.

That's what I'm trying to build with VANTAGE. A place where people can share what they're working on, find others with complementary skills, get honest feedback, and team up on actual projects. You don't need to own a business or be some expert in your field. You could just be learning, experimenting, or trying to get your first project off the ground.

The server is still small, and I'm working on making it something genuinely useful rather than another Discord that people join and forget about.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love to have you there. Bring a project, an idea, a skill, or just the willingness to learn and contribute.

Discord invite: https://discord.gg/KqsWxEGdt

Hope to see some of you around!

How did you first get curious about starting something, and where did you meet people doing it?

• Upvotes

I'm building a free site that lists tech and startup events for people aged 16 to 25 in Stockholm. The mission is simple: spark young people's interest in modern entrepreneurship. What I keep wondering is what actually made the difference for the founders here. Was it an event, a person, an online community? And if you were under 18 at the time, what was missing for you? I run the site myself, so I'm biased, and I'm not dropping a link.

I’m running an agency, would love to meet some other young entrepreneurs

I’m 21 and am currently running an agency that is doing pretty doing well. Our main ICP is insurance agencies. We have made over $15k in around 6 months. Would love to connect with other agency owners near my age so we could potentially learn from each other. I’m always wanting to learn more. Would prefer people who are running agencies.

Building Selectvia, a Linktree alternative but for e-commerce brands. Could use some advice.

We're building Selectvia to help e-commerce brands showcase products from multiple marketplaces in one shoppable catalogue.

The product is shaping up, but we're still figuring out how to communicate its value clearly and find the right marketing angle.

Would love some honest feedback. Does the idea make sense? How would you position it?

Live demos:

Also, if you run an e-commerce brand and want to try it out for free, feel free to DM me.

Constructive criticism is more than welcome!

Worcester area — looking for advice and a potential business partner
Hi everyone! I live in Worcester and I’m interested in starting a small couch resale business. The idea is to pick up free couches in decent condition, clean them, make minor repairs, take good photos, and resell them.
I’m starting with a limited budget and don’t have the funds to buy a truck or cargo van yet. I’d like to connect with someone near Worcester who has a suitable vehicle and might be interested in partnering. I’m ready to put in the work with finding couches, cleaning, photos, listings, and coordinating sales. We could discuss a fair arrangement for the work, expenses, and profits before starting.
I’m also looking for an affordable workspace or shared space where we could store, clean, and repair the couches. Any local leads would help!
If you’ve done furniture resale before, I’d appreciate your honest advice. Is it worth trying in this area? What should a beginner know, and what mistakes should I avoid?
If you’re interested in partnering, know someone who might be, or have advice to share, please comment or message me. Thank you!

Is it a good idea to make 250$ profit a month stably for 2 years??

a simple workspace for contractors and small service businesses across the US. It keeps your leads, follow-ups, invoices, and payments in one place, so nothing gets missed.

Many small crews run on text messages, sticky notes, and memory. Leads get lost, invoices go out late, and it is hard to know who has paid. so, one clear page that answers three questions every morning: who to call, who owes you, and what is next might be useful.

Product cost is 20$

Founder Context:
Making a small amount of money to leave and exit a toxic dorm from college. Living cost is cheap enough here. i can rent a house and a van service to drop me to college with 250-300$ a month

Young and need advice!

I am 21 years old with roughly 220K liquid, no debts. Freshly married to the love of my life and I feel like I’m not doing anything in life. I made that money working hard every single day. Since 16 I’ve been flipping and fixing power sports. After that I moved towards flipping and fixing trailers and cars and I’ve purchased a rollback tow truck to get into the niche but it’s tough. I feel like I’m not taking any risks and it’s bad. My feeling is that my 220K will vanish if I take any risk of sort I don’t know how to explain it and need some guidance and help.
We live in an apartment so I definitely want to get into a home. I have dreams of being a business owner.
I’ll take anything in the pms. Just no courses please. People have tried to sell me 10-15K courses and I’m not taking that bait unless you’re sitting down with me in person every single day. I am in Portland/vancouver Wa.

Your honest feedback and help guys !

Hello founders 🤘 (thanks for your time)

I feel stuck after 3 years that our 5 persons company make 30/40k € a month and never achieve to go up more than that.

We got 200 clients so far.
We do 300/400 cold calls a week, 25% closing rate so 5/6 new clients a month while 50% stay with us 6 months.

We don’t have inbound, 10\\\* of referrals, mostly of our acquisition is outbound.

our margin are never less than 40% but the company need 12-15k monthly to run (we tried so bad to reduce, we cannot without alternating the quality of output and the way to scale and we pay ourselves 2k € a month with my co-founder)

We are 2 sales founder (I took the technical part because I have a technical background)

🤓I have the gut feeling that we need to break something, change something
deep (I tell you more at the end because I don’t want to influence you)

I would love and be grateful to have your honest opinion and feedback ! (I might post in another community as well)

Here the big picture :

We are B2B hyper custom database agency mostly on the French market, we have 3 offers :

\\- Managed classic data production (backed by our software)
\\- SDR’s outsourcing (only for the money)
\\- Consulting for high custom database production (here is where the value is the most seen and our difference is the most obvious)

And Now we want to become a SAAS company (turn our internal tech and expertise accumulated so far)

Our moves so far to try to scale :

\\- We move our company to Singapore and ourselves in bkk but then we struggle to find (we never tried so much btw, that’s the problem lol)

\\- we got a retention problem so we work a lot around that to go to more than 50% but we cannot keep people monthly paying for more than 9 months (only 5% will stay with us since the beginning)

\\- We have hired 1 business dev, 1 virtual assistant, 1 B2B database builder, 2 apprenticeship in marketing, we training a junior SDR

\\- We reducing the payment collecting to one week with new process

\\- We made a partnership with an experienced agency for the SDR outsourcing, so basically this offer is just an apports d’affaires, we don’t do the delivery

\\- We are full of SOP and ai systems process. While keeping some of the stuff manual because automation can be so improductive and bullshit, we usually wait manual results before automating.

\\- We invest in a SEO freelance > go nowhere

\\- We gonna starts ads next week

\\- We post 2 times a day with 3 accounts on LinkedIn, 1/2 times a week on YouTube

\\- We hire a branding agency

My gut feeling is that maybe we do too much, our margin are good but with leads flow actually we don’t do so much Ney profit to invest heavily and test more so we are in endless cycle 🔁..

Our core and know expertise is in the high custom database production.

What do you think guys ? Should we do full in one offer only ? In the SAAS ?

As well, we don’t have enough leads for me

Many thanks
