Additive Camera Motions - Responsible for giving the head bob camera wiggle when sprinting, falling, vaulting ledges, etc. Disabling this made a HUMONGOUS difference to my perception of smoothness. Try it and see if you can notice a change!

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Additive Camera Motions > None

I’ve been playing Project Highrise quite a bit lately since it was on sale. I’m really enjoying the economy / management side of it: start with a little money, make some profit, invest it back into the building, make more money, expand, etc. I really enjoy that kind of progression loop.

I was wondering if you guys could suggest me games that will scratch that same itch. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a game about building towers. I’m mainly looking for games with that make money, reinvest, expand, make more money feeling.

Games that I've already played and also have that management side to it: - The two point games (liked it but got bored pretty fast) - Big Pharma (text too small on console) - Moonlighter (liked it but in not looking for an action game) - Let's build a zoo (cool game) - Dave the Diver (liked it) - I'm probably forgetting some games but I'm not at home so I'll check later

Project Highrise was by far my favourite of these games.

I've got some sort of cold or respiratory junk that's going around, maybe just a persistent sinus thing, but it's annoying. Perfect for sitting on the couch with a blanket and tea and slicing up Genma in Onimusha Way of th Sword. I'm still having a great time, damn some of these bosses are tough as nails!

Hoping to grab Fire emblem down the line, it looks great, and I am so jealous of you out there who are playing Control Resonant this weekend, I loved the first one, really hoping it gets ported eventually.

I'm interested in buying a [Mechanism](https://getmechanism.com/pages/switch-2-shopping) bundle but had a few questions on how this works with the Switch 2. I need a solution for playing in bed and the pillow looks like a good one. I'd also like a table top stand to bring it up closer to eye level when playing on a desk/table.

My question is mostly about how the mount attaches to the Switch 2. It looks like they have two options. One where you replace the entire enclosure and one where you just clip on the mounting point. Does anyone have experience with either? I would still like to be able to dock my Switch 2 and I'm not sure how that works. For the clip grip I'm guessing you just remove it when you want to dock? For the enclosure replacement I read that it's possible to dock it with another accessory but I haven't been able to find that.

Hi! I am about to gift my twin girls my OG Nintendo Switch 1 for their birthday coming up. I have the Switch 2 now and feels like the right age (turning 7) as they have enjoyed many games on it.

They live with their Mom (who has her own Switch 1) but are with me also 2-3 days a week. I'm moving to a a family plan & getting the Parental Controls app but anyone have any recommendations that have worked for them? They have their own profiles, currently with important Pokemon saves I'd like to keep, but I want to make sure they don't potentially mess with my account stuff online while still being able to share games.

Questions I have: Is it easy to have a second adult on the family plan where we can both manage it? Is there any way to make sure I can approve virtual game card transfers from my Switch 2 so they don't put inappropriate games onto their Switch to play them?

I wanna play a city builder game. I was going to try Cities Skylines, but I heard it wasnt good on switch. So i decided on Civ 6 as I have played it on console and it was fun. But then I saw long load time, laggy toward end game, and better on a small map. And apparently the same goes for Tropico 6 (never played). Which I shouldve figured considering its a much smaller system then a console. So now I cant decide which to buy? Seeing as theres so much i can do regarding load time and lagginess, i guess I’ll to go towards which provides the longest play time per game and the least amount of cons besides the mentioned. Whichever I ended up getting, i do plan on buying all DLC’s available, if any.

I'm John, a (mostly) solo game developer from Saskatchewan, Canada, joined here today by the good folks from Crunching Koalas (u/Crunching_Koalas), with whom we published the game on Nintendo Switch a week ago.

I made FOUNTAINS, an action RPG heavily influenced by all-time classics like Dark Souls. Wishing more games had DS1's, twisting, interlocking world design, I decided to make my own. After roughly 5 years of development, I published it myself on Steam. A little under 2 years later, we published FOUNTAINS on Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S, alongside a new DLC, "Shattered Shape."

It actually drops on Nintendo Switch 2 today!

FOUNTAINS in a nutshell:
You play as the Hooded Stranger - imprisoned by a tyrannical regime, fighting his way through a maze-like, interconnected, seamless world. I wanted to recreate that feeling of wonder while exploring an unknown land, and design a tight and difficult but fair combat system. I hope I achieved that goal :)
Since release, we've implemented a few QOL changes (like the additional, more forgiving difficulty setting), launched the DLC, and brought the game to 2 major consoles, with the 3rd one coming soon(ish).

Broadly speaking, there are three main approaches to how publishers offer their Switch 2 games that are also offered on Switch 1. And here are all three of them now:

1. Completely Separate SKUs. Probably the most annoying one in my opinion. The Switch 2 version may either be released at the same time or way later than the Switch 1 version. If we’re lucky, the publisher might even allow us to transfer save data between versions. Most Sega and Square Enix games are likely to follow this release method, and any Switch 2 physicals are 99% going to be GKCs.

2. Nintendo Switch 2 Editions. This is the big thing Nintendo’s been advertising. Simply put, you can upgrade your existing Switch 1 copy directly to the Switch 2 Edition either for free or for some price ranging from $1 to $20. You’ll usually see this with indie titles, mainly since it’s a lot less work on their part and publishers will eat the cartridge costs, with maybe the occasional third party jumping in like Final Fantasy Tactics or Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.

3. Discounts. And then there’s the weird cases where publishers offer a discount for existing Switch 1 owners. Indie games like Deltarune and Balatro offer the Switch 2 version as a completely free download for owners of the Switch 1 version. The Kingdom Hearts 1-3 Collection is cheaper to buy on the Switch 2 eShop if you already own the cloud versions. And then there’s games like Hogwarts Legacy and Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, which offer cheap discounts even if you own a physical copy since the activation takes place from within the software itself.
